It is a fantasy/comedy. That's obvious from this trailer!

It is not suggesting that this could/will really happen.

I agree, Getlo. Some people take things way too seriously...and it's time that everybody let go of something that happened thirty years ago that Sonny and Red and Dave had no control over---the content of "Elvis: What Happened". Sonny is a warm and caring individual and he loved and still loves Elvis dearly.

Isn't it time somebody stopped making fun of Elvis?

Tell that to the producers and directors who hire the actors.

Especially, the way he does it.

    Of course.

Don't get me wrong: I like Sonny. But the only thing is, this is going to give other non-Elvis fans ammunition to criticise Elvis and us. Just my opinion. Maybe a postive movie, like Kevis said, would have been better.

    Graceland to Memphis

It is a cute science fiction movie. I just don't understand why you are all so anxious to jump on Sonny for accepting a part that was offered him. BIG SIGH - I know I am wasting my breath so I won't go further. But I feel sorry for all of you who are so judgmental and were not present in Elvis's world.

Oh yes, he's broke again and it's all Elvis' fault for firing him 30 years ago.

You know, I don't usually judge people. But, IMO it just seems Sonny has played this "feel sorry for me " role long enough. He just published another book, and didn't sound too sorry for anything. He's still pointing fingers and still blaming everyone else.
When everyone can "forgive" Elvis for being human....I might consider forgiving some others that were right there with him.

Don't feel sorry for us who criticise and judge as you said. Feel sorry for those who WERE present in Elvis's world and have never respected him. Oh, and make money out of his fame.
Goodbye Rosanne...Your "family" in TCB will always remember you.

Why are all these movies coming out about Elvis being alive? Example.. Finding Graceland, Bubba Ho-Whatever, The truth about Elvis, and now this rubbish. I like Sonny West but he just reached a new low. Come on Sonny you're better than David Stanley, it's time to prove it.

Sonny gives me a headache . Sonny LOVED the limelight and he has used Elvis to stay in it.... whatever it took...even if it took his "friend's" reputation.

Looks to me that Elvis is still paying Sonny's way in life.
Time to cut the cord, Sonny!.

I will never forget you Rosanne.

Sci-Fi - Bubba HoTep is a riot!! And Bruce Campbell is very easy on the eyes!
Comedy - Elvis Meets Nixon - funny, funny! Again, Rick Peters is a cutie!

These guys were not even attractive. They all had bad hairpieces, or a bad hairday or was that part of the joke? Like I said before, even all the impersonators in 3000 Miles to Graceland were very attractive, and Kurt Russell - WOW!

Just pretend, I'm holding you, and whispering things soft and low.
And think of me, how it's gonna be and just pretend I didn't go

So, you've seen the entire movie then, and can provide a proper assessment of whether it's ignorant? Ignorant of what, exactly? You're like a lot of people out there, who condemn something based on extracts, excerpts and the like.

Like the Stanley film a while back, Protecting The King. The trailer made it look like crapola, but I refused to say anything until I had watched the whole movie (which, in this case, turned out to be the first half hour, which was all I could take).

No one here can assess this film until it is actually viewed in its entirety!

And FYI: Sonny West is far from broke; and he has never said it was all Elvis' fault. Not once.
    Getlo - cute'n'cuddly
