$5 FIVE?!? good deal, i wish i could be that lucky.
me i'm picky, too. i don't buy Elvis biographies anymore - nothing new,
too much deciphering - [is that opinion or fact?] and hardly every any
new pics! i am a sucker for the posters, tho.
All I wanted was a white knight with a good heart, soft touch, fast horse
Ride me off into the sunset Baby, I'm forever yours

the circus elvis stuff, should have stopped with parker. a national treasure deserves better. we would not want our image on most of that stuff. i stick to the pictures, no books elvis gave us his auto bio with his music and the songs he picked to sing. you can hear all the elvis you want on satellite radio.

I think the quote from the openingpost about Elvisfans buying anything, is quite correct. Of course, he doesn't mean that ALL Elvisfans will be ANYTHING that has and ever will be released, but I've never seen more merchandise from any other artist or band. And most of it is easy cash, considering the design/quality.

Just look in the EPE shop: how much high quality, tastefull things are sold there? Most of it is made with little effort to come up with something new/original.

Generally speaking, Elvisfans are loyal and easy customers. How many other artists in the world have so many re-re-releases of their material? Re-release an album or an Elvis single, and you'll know for sure that it will sell to Elvisfans who already have that same album multiple times.

And I don't judge us, Elvisfans.... we're just cool

I would have to say that at the moment my favorites are the potholder and the kitchen sink drain stopper. That is beyond tacky.....not sure what to call it. I can't wait until Gail and I are there...we will scope out everything and report back to you.

I suppose. I know, I have Elvis cassettes and [very] few 45's, then upgraded to the cd and now I guess, I'll have to upgrade again in the near future!

Just pretend, I'm holding you, and whispering things soft and low.
And think of me, how it's gonna be and just pretend I didn't go

I`ve got an in-built "Thumb-o-meter" that I usually go by.......Thumb up for the good stuff and a thumb down and a little warning beep for all the tacky rubbish and exploitation devices.
