    THANKS PAL!!!!

That is DEFINITELY a great tracklisting....especially some of the rare concert songs (for 1976) like BURNING LOVE and HAWAIIAN WEDDING SONG.

I wonder if we'll get that entire tracklisting though....I think the press release from Ernst said that a MAJORITY of the CD would come from the Omaha show...sounds to me like there might be a problem with RCA's master tape of the show and they might have to use some other shows from around the same tour to fill in the holes???

    TCB!

I don't mind that, there were some pretty rare stuff in the setlist for 1976 during that april '76 tour so I look forward to seeing whats included on it!!

    No, I'm not his spokesperson...

But Mike, I'm guessing the whole show wasn;t recorded on soundboard, so they are going to take and put in songs from other shows from that tour to fill up the CD

Thank you for being my unofficial spokesperson Jon!!

As for the show, I don't know if the entire show wasn't recorded OR if there is some kind of defect/damage on RCA's tape and they can't fix it so they are going to substitute other songs from other shows on that tour in their place!

But this is what Ernst said...

"'America' is a soundboard release from April 1976, with the body of the recordings being from the Omaha show."

Now what I gathered from this statement was that a majority of the CD would contain songs from the Omaha show...but perhaps what Ernst was saying is that the main concert on the CD would be the Omaha show...

Perhaps I have simply read more into this than there truly is....

    Bonus songs:

    From Keith Flynn's great site

As you thought and you were correct, the Main body of the show is indeed from Omaha. And any show from '76 that has that many songs performed after Hound Dog must be above the regular '76 standard!!

    THANKS FOR THE TRACKLISTING JON!!!

And you are exactly right....any show that has additional songs after HOUND DOG must be one of the better shows!! Plus, I am quite anxious to hear the version of MY WAY that is going to be on the CD....considering that is one of the rarer concert songs for early 1976!

And by the way....thanks again for being my unofficial spokesperson!! Actually...I will go ahead and change your title to OFFICIAL spokesperson!!

    THANK YOU MY FRIEND!!!

Actually, I thought BURNING LOVE was a rarity for 1976....but the more shows that I come across from '76 show that it really isn't that rare of a song! He performed it quite often in 1976, including the March tour, the April tour, and periodically throughout the summer tours. It's too bad that he didn't include it in his most famous 1976 show -- the infamous New Year's Eve show in Pittsburgh!

That would have been great. I love the version from Holding Back The Years import CD. Elvis forgets the words and the band slows down and he says no don't worry bout it. Love it!!

THAT is one of my ALL TIME favorite Elvis shows!!!

Not only does this show have a very unique song lineup, but the fact that Larrie London is playing drums on the show (as we discussed before) just makes this a FANTASTIC show and one that I DEFINITELY think FTD should consider releasing!!

It is mine as well. Too bad Elvis goofed up on Mountain though but still good solid show that I can enjoy on a regular basis with the headphones on! Would be hard to top Madion's release of the show A New Kind Of Rythm though! they did a superb job with the sound on that one!
