This is a good question! I wonder what songs he would Recorded in the 80`s, 90`s and maybe 2000 - ?
I think he would be like Jerry Lee Lewis.
what do you other think?
Here's a interesting thought... If Elvis were alive TODAY, what songs would you love to hear him perform???

Taking Care of BusinessTil we meet you again, may God bless you, Adios.
In the 80's Elvis would probably sound like Phil Collins or Duran Duran.
In the 90's Elvis would be known as MC Elvis and rap instead of sing,
in 2008 he'd probably would have made another comeback![]()
"Here's to our wives and girlfriends...may they never meet!".
Groucho Marx
celine dion titanic one.
billy idol weding one.
leane rimes i do love you one.
The minute I saw this thread, I could think of only one song that Elvis would have sung perfectly: "With or Without you" by U2. Please, just try to imagine the power of Elvis's voice singing this song...
Goodbye Rosanne...Your "family" in TCB will always remember you.
I saw this the other day. Glen Campbell at 72. He never came close to Elvis, IMO.

"I have learned never to ridicule any man's opinion, however strange it may seem."
Dear fans-
If he were still with us, he would no doubt have continued singing many different types of songs since singing was just his passion. He sang even when not on tour, on stage, or in front of a croud. He even sang in the shower, it calmed his soul to just about always be singing.
If he were with us, he would have huge hand in what Lisa has been doing musically. It's been stated before, by someone in an interview, but he'd be full of all kinds of advice for her with what types of songs to sing, but yet let her be her own person at the same time. He lovd her more than anything in the world so he would probably be more into helping her with her career and getting over her initial stage fright (which she she still has or had when she was singing and doing her touring to promote her songs and albums) but her father did too every now and then, no matter how many times he'd preformed in front of so many. there was always, i was told, a moment or two of stage fright but that is very normal. It always passed quickly as is evident from his wonderful shows and concerts and tours.
His style would have always been his and that wouldn't have changed, but since he loved gospel, in his later years had he lived, I feel he would have leaned more towards those types of sings somewhat, as he was honestly searching for inner peace and answers, going back to his 'roots' from his parents mostly Gladys who taught him well and took him to church as a small child.
then again maybe he would suprise his fans by doing some thing just as modern as everyone, since times they do change, but it would have been his own, as he was able to take any song and make it his own special style, with his own take on it all.
With or Without You would be one of my choices, but my absolute one is
Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You Elvis is always singing this to me
in my dreams![]()
Just pretend, I'm holding you, and whispering things soft and low.
And think of me, how it's gonna be and just pretend I didn't go
I would love to hear Elvis sing:
Imagine
The Dance
Its Only Make Believe
"When I was a child, ladies and gentlemen, I was a dreamer. I read comic books, and I was a hero in the movie. So every dream that I ever dreamed has come true a hundred times. I learned very early in life that without a song, the day would never end; without a song, a man ain't got a friend; without a song, the road would never bend; without a song. So I keep singing a song." - Elvis Presley
I'm a big Elton John fan. He recorded a song called Border Song waaaay back in 1970. More recently he recorded it as a duet with Shawn Mullins. Hearing Shawn sing his part of the song (beautifully, I might add), reminded me of Elvis' deep voice. Would have loved to have heard Elvis put his spin on this gospel sounding song:
Holy Moses I have been removed
I have seen the spectre he has been here too
Distant cousin from down the line
Brand of people who ain't my kind
Holy Moses I have been removed
Holy Moses I have been deceived
Now the wind has changed direction and I'll have to leave
Won't you please excuse my frankness but it's not my cup of tea
Holy Moses I have been deceived
I'm going back to the border
Where my affairs, my affairs ain't abused
I can't take any more bad water
I've been poisoned from my head down to my shoes
Holy Moses I have been deceived
Holy Moses let us live in peace
Let us strive to find a way to make all hatred cease
There's a man over there what's his colour I don't care
He's my brother let us live in peace
He's my brother let us live in peace
He's my brother let us live in peace

I think he would still be singing stuff from his childhood and growing up. So much of his stuff throughout his whole career came from artists that we never heard of, people that were never heard of until he came along and put his unique mark on it!!![]()
I THINK ELVIS STILL WOULD STILL BE SINGING MY WAY.
THAT SONG HE WAS MADE FOR HIM.
AND STILL HAVING FUN. LOOKING GOOD.

He Aint Heavy, He's my Brother

nothing like we could imagine, and don't think nothing like what became popular in last 30 years..I guess we'd be surprised if he was alive..it would be an Elvis thing again..I mean even with well known songs of today he'd get a different style and sound, making them his own..
