Roger Semon's intentions for coming year

Perhaps this has been reported elsewhere, but I was recently excited to read this in the current issue of Essential Elvis.

    Reports Brian Quinn:

According to Roger Semon...the next twelve months will see an album released of a Broadway Elvis musical and several upgrades of previously released albums, particularly catering to the diehard fan.

Sounds great to me! This would seem to imply on the main label, but it sounds like the deleted albums series on FTD. I hope the former is the case though.

I just wonder who he feels the diehard fans are, and what specific upgrades is he talking about? Could this mean titles such as Elvis in Concert and Recorded Live at Madison Square Garden in improved sound quality and artwork?

Good point. Let's hope you're not considered 'diehard' because you listen to a few songs besides Teddy Bear and Don't Be Cruel, etc.

    But I will remain hopeful.

    I think that diehard=FTD. And upgraded=7" soundtracks.

Last year Priscilla was on CNN (Larry King) and told about an Elvis musical. This musical should tell people the story from Priscilla's point of view and focus more on her life and story. This because 'Elvis story had been told enough'. Man, how much attention and praise does she really wants?

I don't know if the musical that Roger mentions is the same as Priscilla was dreaming about.... Let's hope not

God, that reminds me of a magazine interview that I have of her from 1976, maybe ten months before Elvis passed. In it she literally said she wanted to be known as PRISCILLA BEAULIEU (!), because she was her own person and she wanted to be known for herself and not just as "Elvis' ex-wife" or "the mother of Elvis' daughter" (.......)

Then soon after his death she crawled back to being "Priscilla Beaulieu-Presley" and the longer he's been dead, the closer she crawled back to him because in the end she is back to being Priscilla "Presley" again.....
In that same Larry King interview Larry asked her if it wasn't hard to be wearing that famous name. She said (paraphrased) that yes, it was hard sometimes, but "there was nothing she could do about it" (.....)
Uh, perhaps she should stick to her motto of 1976 and live under her own (be it her step father's) name?

The above is of course strictly my own personal opinion. I know she is responsible for saving Graceland from public auction or worse, but her logic lacks sometimes
I love the interview Terry Wogan (otherwise a total self absorbed twit) had with her via satellite when her book "Elvis and Me" first came out. He undermined her "Logic" five minutes into the interview!
