We've been over this. "911" is now common vernacular for an emergency call. Don't read too much into stuff that simply isn't there - that's how wild conspiracies and rumours gain momentum.
And it would've been obvious to anyone there at the time that Elvis had already died.
As for the TV journalist knowing before Weintraub ... not even an issue. TV and radio stations have people monitoring emergency frequencies all the time, and it's not uncommon for journalists to be on the scene and in full knowledge of an event before many other parties. It's entirely plausible that, when the original call went out, someone said it was a "42 year old male" and someone else made an assumption that it was Elvis.
Why these ridiculous theories about the timeline of Elvis' death are still around today is beyond me.

Getlo - cute'n'cuddly
I took time to read the article tonight, Jen. Thank you so much for posting it.You really post some interesting things for us to read. I really, really enjoyed enjoyed the article. I started to cry with Jerry W. talking about finding out Elvis was gone. That sort of thing still gets to me pretty easily even 30 years later. I guess it always takes me back to that sad day for my own self and for all that loved Elvis
The first part of the article where he talks about gathering up that million dollars was a hoot.
.
I will never forget you Rosanne.

Behave yourself, son. I'm not going to spread any rumors .
The ones that write all the BS does it for the gullible.
I'd just like to get one person out of the many others to pin the story down.
It IS stuff like this that starts the rumor mill.
{In my opinion, JW is full of it}
You weren't there. I'm just going to the source and trying for a straight answer .
I don't like pat answers from the media.

"I have learned never to ridicule any man's opinion, however strange it may seem."
I thought he only requested a full sized mirror and water bottles (at least that's what I've read here on this forum); even though I think that he brought "Mountain Valley Spring Water" with him; granted I've gotta find some credible source in some good book about what he requested for a show, if anything ...and the request for Coke bottles doesn't seem to ring true, as he preferred Pepsi.
Good thing he knows the definition of private...perhaps I should have put this icon instead

Weintraub is a true mover and shaker if you will. He's a "wheel".I'm guessing he couldnt care less about the exact details concerning that day.Im sure he has other more pressing things to deal with.Just in case you want to see him in action he makes a cameo in Ocean's 11.He's sitting at a table talking to someone if memory serves me right.
