    Red face Escape to Elvis.

Hi Elvis fans. Thought i'd share this with you.

I was on my college bus on Monday, none of my friends were on it so i sat on my own.
There were some girls at the front giving me 'evils' listening to their 'Rap' music out loud.
There were some boys and girls on the back seat, and talking about things i would rather not listen to. And i just wanted to escape.
So i put on my mp3 and listened to some Elvis. He helps me escape times i want to. I escaped to the Elvis era, and loved it.

    Soo wanted to say,
    Thanks E

    Hope he helps you too

I guess there's a lot of fans that do "The Elvis Escape" in a way or another. It's a delightful way to relax, and enjoy the world outside the "real" life...

I agree, going back in those days makes me relax and get out of the "too rapid" world we now live in

Elvis always helps . But escaping to his era sometimes also provokes
a nostalgia which, alas, cannot be satisfied , .....if that makes sense

Yes...I agree. I was that was as a 9 year old also. I couldn't take all the "bubble-gum rock"(anybody remember The Archies? Sugar Sugar?) Even at that age I would get lost in his music.

Same here, Elvis always takes me back to when I was growing up and the world was still innocent and much simpler.

I pity the kids today that miss out on the dating and courting we used to have.

After working a long day, there is nothing I like better than coming home and flipping on a little Elvis music! It certainly helps me unwind after a busy day!!

What a perfect way to escape...Listening to Elvis. I guess, we all do that now and then.
When I'm happy, I listen to Elvis. When I'm sad, I listen to Elvis. When I'm tired, I relax listening to Elvis. He is always there when I need him. So, I totally understand you, Burning Love...
Goodbye Rosanne...Your "family" in TCB will always remember you.

There are times, when I sit down to liten to a soundboard, recording sessions, private recording etc, it will take me to a different time, a different place. And I love that feeling when I get it, and there's nothing in the world like it.
"How do I get placed in situations like this? Ah hell, I guess it's all part of showbusiness "~ Elvis in his limo on his way to perform in Omaha, NE on June 19th 1977
