All Shook Up Musical opens in England.

Award-winning Stage One Theatre Company celebrates its 40th production in true rock 'n' roll style when it presents the UK premiere of All Shook Up at the Kenneth More Theatre, Ilford next week. Never afraid to try something different, Stage One has enjoyed considerable success since its inception in 1992, as one of the leading purveyors of musical theatre in east London.

Performed in association with Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc, All Shook Up is a radical new musical comedy inspired by, and featuring the songs of, Elvis Presley. Combining all the hits with a rock 'n' roll story, All Shook Up tells the romantic tale of how a small town girl's dreams become reality when a mysterious stranger arrives and turns the town upside down with his hip-swivelin', lip-curlin' and sexy song singin'. He even helps the townsfolk discover the magic of romance and the power of rock 'n' roll changing their lives forever.

A show about tolerance and understanding, as well as fun, All Shook Up took Broadway by storm with a score of Elvis classics including Heartbreak Hotel, A Little Less Conversation, Hound Dog, Jailhouse Rock, Blue Suede Shoes and It's Now Or Never. Stage One founder and director Jai Sepple, who also plays the lead role of Chad, says: "This is an exciting musical about romance, rebellion and rock 'n' roll, but also about breaking barriers and acceptance. "Elvis' music helped to break many barriers, and it was arguably the single greatest influence in the cultural revolution that was rock'n'roll.

"This is reflected in All Shook Up as the characters learn to look beyond the surface and accept one another. It's like an Elvis movie with more than just a dash of Grease, Footloose and The Wild One thrown in."

This show will be performed at the Kenneth More Theatre, Oakfield Road, Ilford, from Wednesday- Saturday, February 13-16 at 7.45pm, with a 3pm matinee on Saturday. Tickets from 0208 553 4466, or click the following link.
