This song is so appropriate for me and my girlfriend in Memphis around 74-75 I think it was. We along with my mom made one of them fast weekend trips to Memphis. Elvis was home!!! Me and my girlfriend went exploring along the side of Graceland (where EPE is now but it was a church back then). We saw where a dog had started digging a hole under the fence so....a light bulb went off inside my head!! Lori, come on, let's finish this hole and go under the fence and we can go knock on the back door and as for Elvis!! Long story short, we did. We sat in the bushes getting up our nerve and then began the long walk towards the carport. Just as we got there here come these 2 dogs barking and barking and barking...we took off running back to the bushes along the side of the fence. We dove into the bushes and were crawling up and down the fence looking for the hole....scared to death!! The dogs ran up and down the side of the fence barking their heads off. We finally made it back down the guardshack. Later on we were asking Harold about the dogs and he said "nah, those dogs don't bite they just bark"!!! DARN - IF WE'D ONLY KNOWN THAT A FEW HOURS EARLIER!! Here are some of the pix we made that day.

what a great story, thanks for sharing
I guess this was one of the most exciting things you ever did?
It was one of them but not the only one. We followed him down to Brooks Rd. and on to the highway on his motorcycle with Ginger in 3/77. He drove like a bat out of hell on that thing...I was in a car and I was nervous. Can't imagine being on the back of that thing...wait a minute...yes, I can!!
It's a great story! Had I been there ; I'd joined right with you .I think Elvis would have gotten a kick out of you girls, had you made it .
