Question Who do you think Elvis looked like more, his Mom or his Dad?

I think he looked more like Gladys.

I think Elvis actually looked more like Vernon than Gladys. I think that he got the very best that both had to offer, but the older he got the more and more I saw Vernon.....especially if you look at their profiles. Yet...there was something there from Gladys as well.

Elvis looked more like Gladys especially after he got into his 40's, he inherited her Cherokee cheekbones. Of couse he inherited the blonde hair from vernon. But i saw more of Gladys in him especially her darkness around his eyes. Lisa also inherited that trait. Let's just pray she didnt inherit their short lives.

I'm assuming that the color of Elvis' hair in the army was his natural haircolor ....that's why I never think of him as a blonde. It may not have been jet black, but I don't think it was blonde either.

I think he looks a little like both.

Personally, i think he looks more like Gladys because they both have the same deep set eyes.

UTMom 2008,Elvis' Natural hair color was Blonde and later sandy blonde. Any fan should know Elvis dyed his hair black because he thought it would look better on screen, and bring out his blue eyes.

My hair color is kind of dirty blonde/brown, similar to Elvis's natural color, but now that I've lost most of it I keep it marine cut and it seems the shorter it is the darker it looks. When it grows out it looks lighter. I think that's how his was and why the army pics seem to look darker.

I always thought that Elvis had a bit of both parents in his facial features but favored Gladys overall.

Yes, I know that and have known that for well over 40 or 45 years. My point was......I don't think his natural color is what I think of as blonde. When I look at his army pics..I don't see "blonde." He died his hair black because he was a huge Tony Curtis fan..

There are some photos were he looks a lot like his mom, and there are many others where you can clearly see a resemblance to his dad.

I think he had an equal mix. His eyes are not the shape of Gladys's but deep set like her's. His mouth is full, especially the lower lip her's is not. But the nose is identical.
Great mix of both and other family members too.

To me I think he's very much like his dad, as previously discussed.

    Hey you sweet friend!
Thank you. I tried to upload a pic of father and son side by side and it didn't take. I know there is a thread in another section where I've posted side by side's of father and son.

And yes def has a lot of Vernon in him, nose, lips, eye color, shape of head...I often think if Elvis had lived to 73 we'd see more of Vernon in him.
