The Muti-color ones are worth more they only printed mayb 500-1000 each. I have orginal First Print of Blue one. I've had Elvis fans offer me $1000 for it because its rare. But when I show them I have white one too they just faint. LOL
Love to all,
Tim
I was always under the understanding that the LP was originally pressed on blue vinyl as a gimmick. I got mine on first release and it was blue. After the initial run of LP's ws pressed (a set number I don't recall) RCA switched over to standard black vinyl. At that point Elvis passed and RCA, seizing the moment, reverted back to the blue vinyl quickly as a marketing tool. There were a limited number of black pressed at that point. This is what makes the black so collectible.
Later version of the black vinyl with the reissue catalog number are not that collectible.
Blue being the more common is valued at $10 - $15 , the original black $75 - $100. Later versionss with the catalog number prefix changed have little value.
That has always been my understanding, I think the Wikipedia entry is mistaken. That has happened before.
