"The original tape contains four and one half hours of most of the songs Elvis Presley recorded throughout his career...There are also scenes of Elvis' personal life around (sic) drugs that will only be viewed by the owner of these tapes."

Anyone want to take up a collection to bid......
"I never felt poor. There were always shoes to wear and food to eat -- yet I knew there were things my parents did without just to make sure I was clothed and fed."
I amazed that CFX/EPE, (given their severe editorial control of Elvis' post 1973 image), have sanctioned the sale of this footage, particularly considering they are the copyright holders of all footage pertaining to EP's Legendary final TV special.
As for the auction itself..........a total waste of moolah.
Are you sure this is not only the regular "Elvis in concert", only in black and white ?
Taking Care of BusinessTil we meet you again, may God bless you, Adios.
The sale of the footage is to be made with the stipulation that the footage will not be reproduced or sold on. I assume EPE granted this knowing what medical state the seller is in ... ?
Kind of pointless really. I suppose the guy doesn't realise that most of this stuff is (relatively) readily available in colour.
Getlo - cute'n'cuddly
What You See On Tube an copy to promotion the sale of the tape, you not see all it.
We Know now whom have. that EPE got The CBS tapes not CBS, That's too bad that EPE have Them
tom
Take a look at you and me,,Are we too blind to see, Do we Simply turn our heads and look the other way.....(Line From "in The Ghetto")
Getlo,
You keep repeating this about the man's poor health, but he is dead already! His widow is trying to sell the tapes, the report you see on youtube is from years ago.
Hope this helps.
Also, no-one is going to bid 200.000 for a couple of minutes of backstage footage from Omaha that hasn't been seen before. The majority of the footage has been circulating for years already of course.
It's a waste of time this auction.
Cheers
Simon
Right. That news story is obviously from many years ago.
During the mid 1980's Mr. Williams put them on the market for $500,000. This became major entertainment news as the story was featured in The Los Angeles Times as well as various news stations.
They didn't sell then and I don't see it happening now either.
