Ridiculous.
Both suits should be on display permanently.
Different from last August, the so-called Aloha Rehearsel Suit was moved back to the Graceland Archive Department.
'Both Aloha suits in one display was just for the 30th Anniversary Week only', chief of the Archive Dept Angie Marchese said.
Maybe we'll do it again sometime - but only for special occasions.' All other suits, of course, were still on display in the various museums on Elvis Presley Boulevard.

Getlo - cute'n'cuddly
I agree with you all!
Taking Care of BusinessTil we meet you again, may God bless you, Adios.
I too have asked this question and the complete answer I was given is that they did have both suits on exhibit for E Week 07 as a special thing for the fans and after that week they returned to only having one of the two suits on display for preservation reasons. Which makes perfect sense to me. It is what is best for the outfits.
What concerns me about EPE/Graceland is that they just don't act with continuity.. Why on earth would you put the 'Snowflake aka Spectrum' suit in with the Aloha Suit, it just doesn't make any sense. I could understand if they put the Aloha Announcement or arrival Suit but no, lets put something in the showcase that isn't even Ironed/pressed or remotely linked
Sometimes I don't think EPE/Graceland know what they are doing![]()
The problem i can see here is if anything happened to the suits such as the colour starting to fade.People Would then start complaining that they are not looking after them the right way.Especially a suit of that importance.

I think they should hire some of us to put those displays in proper order! I did floor displays at Penney's years ago, I'd love to give it a shot!

You saying that reminds of the Elvis exhibition that was held in Blackpool back in the 1980's there was a rumour that the suits in that were replicas.Perhaps i shouldn't have repeated that because i don't know if that's true or not.But that's what i've heard since.
I doubt that Graceland are using fake ones. After all if anyone had the originals they would surely. But i suppose thats something we'll never know for sure.
I'm just happy that Graceland FINALLY decided to put the jumpsuits in display cases! The last time I was in Memphis for Elvis Week 2000, they had the usual jumpsuits on display in the racquetball court and they also had a collection of the suits he wore in TTWII to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the film on display as well...and they were ALL OUT IN THE OPEN!!! I couldn't believe my eyes that they would have such priceless artifacts out in the open without any protection around them at all. I was stunned to say the least...
So I was thrilled when they upgraded the displays and put them inside display cases!!

Tell Elvis we say HI
I first visited Graceland in 1987 and they were in cases then too!
But when they moved the jumpsuit exhibit out onto the racquetball court, that must be when they decided to not place the suits in display cases. When I was there in 2000, NONE of the suits were in cases...not the special TTWII exhibit suits or the regular exhibit suits (Sundial, Aloha, etc.).
So I was THRILLED to see that they have been re-encased in display cases once again!!!

Was there a third Aloha made due Elvis putting some of the weight back on that he had lost for the special?
