I think we discussed before the way Lisa acts before. I thought she handled herself well at the 30th Anniverary concert. I think she is warming up to her father's fans. She was just overwhelmed by the sell-out of the concert by her dad that had been dead 30 years and told the fans that she loved them. She does not have her father's voice and admits that. I love to hear her sing with him. I don't know how she does that. My father has been dead over 30 years and I don't think I could sing with him. I agree with Big Boss Man - Walk a Mile in Her Shoes.

I too have met Lisa -Marie i like her because what you see is what you get she is real shes not fake in EBTP when ask about her dad LOOK at her she has so much emotion inside that i truly don't think she knows how to release it like really who can she really truly talk to sure her hubby her kids her mom even but sometimes thats not enough you know .. she lost her dad at 9 Like 9 thats really gotta suck .. i would hate to be her to do the things shes gotta do she gets shit on all the time sure i would love to know some of her stories her memories but thats all she has left .. lets give her a god dam break ... I agree with this for sure - I felt the same about her during this time. To me - it was the first time I saw her acknowledge his fans warmly and humbly. Normally I don't see much emotion come out of her.....so it was nice to see her this way on the 30th. I hope she realizes how much we do love her Dad....I've always said - because of our love for Elvis - our love filters down to her - if she'd just accept it.

It was selling out Elvis Presley's name that got me. Not so much the money end of it.
If Lisa and Priscilla thought it was a good deal to do so, then I guess it was. Cause these people would probably have more respect for his name.

I think maybe part of Lisa's standoffishness w/the fans is that she had a different view of them @ his funeral, and perhaps sees us as the reason she was not able to grieve in private, why she really hasn't had much privacy....I"m not talking being hidden from the press, but in relation to the fans wanting to know her every move and critizing her every move, again darn if she did, darn if she didn't w/his fan base.
I don't think she is disrespectful at all...I'm sorry I don't, I see interviews w/her where she speaks of him and I see raw emotion being faught back, I can only imagine the field day some fans and most certainly the press would have, if she broke down....

Lisa learned common sense from her mother so lets get this straight -oral sex at 13, full sex at 15, lesbian sex at 17, smoked pot, failed marriage to danny, failed marriage to nic cage for about five minutes, married to michael jackson failed marriage and I`ll give this poor man a year who shes married to.

I tried putting myself in Lisa's shoes (seams like I've heard a song along that same line ), and I can understand her attitude.

If people constantly hounded me with questions regarding my father, I'd probably reach a point where I said "enough." You have to realize that every move she makes or thing she does is either compared to her dad, or made to be "would her dad approve?"

Also, I remember watching Lisa on the Elvis By The Presleys program, when she recalled the last time she saw her dad alive. You could see the emotion on her face and her voice.

There's also the instance where she responded to the comments made by a few of the MM on the E True Hollywood Story "The Last Days Of Elvis." From what I saw, she was deeply offended by their comments, especially the remarks that she said "took away his dignity."

I'm not trying to defend any actions or her overall attitude, because I have seen a few occasions where she came across as a spoiled - obnoxious jerk. However, from what I (myself) have seen, the good outweighs the bad, so I try to look at the experiences she had, along with the upbringing she received. These factors are what's shaped her imo....so before you abuse, criticize or acuse, Walk A Mile In Her Shoes.

She's absolutely right: there is nothing any fan can tell her or give to her that would add anything worthwhile to her impressions of her father.
