I think that some were reading glasses. I know that I once saw these really nerdy glasses on a auction book about Elvis. I don't know how true this is but I once read that he wore tinted contacts on his last tour cause the lights really bothered his eyes.
A lot of those sunglasses were prescription. Elvis was nearsighted.

Elvis found the "aviator" sunglasses in a store somewhere and liked them. So he contacted the designer, Dennis Roberts - in California from memory? - and had many sets made, and all were prescription.
Dennis used to often pop up on eBay selling an authentic pair of glasses. He was an optician who supplied glasses to many celebrities.

Dennis designed most of Elvis' glasses from 1970 to 1977. He was also the one who made the TCB and TLC necklaces.

Where can I get a replica (not plastic cheap souvenirs ones) of the glasses Elvis wore in TTWII, I think they are so so cool!!! got to have a pair of them, but never found a pair.

I'll say this again...Dennis Roberts never once made any of the TLC or TCB jewelry that Elvis wore and was never even occasionally involved with the necklaces...

No.I never seing him wearing glasses on the movies.Maybe he used them to read the mauscript.And is the first time I see that picture wearing glasses when he was a child.Thank you very much for posting them.

Thats ok Girlhappy. I too have never seen him in the movies (that i have seen) with glasses on. So maybe they are someone elses ?
