All us "older" people's dream that's for sure!
I always bring along my disc carrier to play Elvis songs on a trip even as short as a half hour. My car has great speakers.
That would be my pick. I've always thought it could have been written for Elvis. How about PIECES OF MY LIFE???
I like Long Black Limousine, too.
I'll give you three songs;
1. In the Gheto,
3. Polk Salad Annie.
Goodbye Rosanne...Your "family" in TCB will always remember you.
I think as far as a pure visual effect goes I would also go along with "Kentucky Rain". I like it, it's not my favorite, but it is so easy to visualize what he is singing about. I can just see the man who's memory wasn't clear... sometimes my memory isn't clear either.
Yes I love that one too Rosanne...for the same reason. So many of Elvis' songs have a hint of humor or a very sentimental meaning.
Too many for me
Elvis sang LOVE...and there's so much love in his songs
Some of my favourite stories are in the songs
-Until It's Time For You To Go
- In The Ghetto
- Mary In The Morning
- So Close Yet So Far From Paradise
- If I Can Dream
and many many others
Pieces of my life If i can dream
Old Times they are not forgotten
Kentucky Rain for me, too. This is my absolute favorite song. Getting the ride from the preacher & listening to his advice and best wishes.
Stranger in the Crowd
Sylvia - I have a lot of brothers & more than one have gone out with a "Sylvia"!
Do You Know Who I Am
great thread, btw!
Just pretend, I'm holding you, and whispering things soft and low.
And think of me, how it's gonna be and just pretend I didn't go
mary in the morning is a great pick foreverTheking .
All I wanted was a white knight with a good heart, soft touch, fast horse
Ride me off into the sunset Baby, I'm forever yours
My favorites are
You Gave Me A Mountain
"When I was a child, ladies and gentlemen, I was a dreamer. I read comic books, and I was a hero in the movie. So every dream that I ever dreamed has come true a hundred times. I learned very early in life that without a song, the day would never end; without a song, a man ain't got a friend; without a song, the road would never bend; without a song. So I keep singing a song." - Elvis Presley
