    As for narrative type stories in Elvis' songs, I do like Kentucky Rain.

    And it reminds me of - I kid you not here! - a country singer I used to date called Mary-Lou. That and Trying To Get To You were her favourite Elvis songs.

    All us "older" people's dream that's for sure!

    I always bring along my disc carrier to play Elvis songs on a trip even as short as a half hour. My car has great speakers.

    I do too Diane, and I love to blast it! Much louder than if someone were in the car with me.

    I think as far as a pure visual effect goes I would also go along with "Kentucky Rain". I like it, it's not my favorite, but it is so easy to visualize what he is singing about. I can just see the man who's memory wasn't clear... sometimes my memory isn't clear either.

    Yes I love that one too Rosanne...for the same reason. So many of Elvis' songs have a hint of humor or a very sentimental meaning.
