Hi Annie,
Nice Sentiment to Buttonhead about visiting Graceland....I was a child fan and never got to meet him or anything, but I visited his home for the first time in last year....you are definitely correct Annie.
Hi Buttonhead, it is quit overwhelming, for me the most important reason to go during Elvis week was because of the Candlelight Vigil. We stayed a couple of days after Elvis week was 'closed' and I must say that I really enjoyed my visit to Graceland more than a couple of days before. Because the second time I was sometimes alone in the rooms, and that is great.![]()

Hi Annie,
I met Joe Esposito, Harold Loyd, Jerry Schilling, Becky Martin (Elvis' friend from Tupelo), David Stanley & D.P.E.
I've recently made acquaintances with Elvis' 'Live A Little, Love A Little' co-star, Celeste Yarnall - lovely woman.
Celeste Yarnell, I believe we saw her at the TCB/Legend concerts on august the 13th, is this her??? please correct me if I'm wrong....

The tape i got here was a gift, from my friend, he said it was along with the Elvis What Happened book first released in 1976...1977 i didnt remember, but yes it is genuine recordings, plus Red West swear alot,..he said 'F' words this and "Sh..t" that, and so was Elvis to my surprised,..the conversations actually pretty much friendly, but yet you could tell that Elvis was in big trouble ( debt ) since Joe E. came up with the idea to have this racquet ball court plus day care in there blah blah...elvis might loose graceland for that idea
..good job Joe E.

I met Sonny and Judy West while at Elvis Week. Sonny was at the hotel where I was staying and he is just great. Judy is a fantastic lady and I for one applaud any of the MM wives who stayed around as long as she did. Sonny had lots of great stories, one in particular that I won't repeat. NEVER.....EVER...
He answered questions about the book, and didn't hesitate at all. I talked to him before his first appearance and I asked him how did he handle questions about the book. He told me that he will answer them straight, and if someone touches on a subject that he doesn't want to talk about he will just say that.
I sat next to Donna Early at the Legends Concert, she was very polite to me when I needed to get past her to use the bathroom.....![]()
It seems as though Annie and I met almost the same amount of people, one of the nicest was Jordan from Jordans-Elvis-World.........

Hi Carolyn,
Good Story....I like to steer clear of the likes of the name 'West'. I'm sure Sonny is a nice guy in this day and age, and appears to have grown-up a lot since 1976. And, he always appears to be quite sincere on Chat shows as opposed to his bitter 'sour grapes' ramblings from the the late seventies.
I reckon Judy must be a very nice person - fair play to her. I will be very interested to pick up a copy of Sonny's new re-tell publication whenever it comes out. I'm sure it will be a lot more sincere and truthful as opposed to the first attempt with his cousin and that old part-timer Dave Hebler.
To be quite truthful, I can't really be bothered with the three of them - but to each their own.
You passed Donna E. to go to the bathroom? - it's a wonder she didn't charge you a fee!....hope you kept your eye on your purse whilst you were seated next to her - lol!
I'm sorry for getting off the subject, but i do have an interesting story that happened in front of the Graceland gates. My girlfriend asked a guy to take our picture in front of the gates. He had an English accent so I told him I liked The Beatles too. He asked what I knew about The Beatles and I said a lot. He asked me if I knew who Tony Sheridan was. I said sure he was the British singer who The Beatles backed up on a rock version of "My Bonnie Lies Over The Ocean." Well, it turns out this guy was Tony Sheridan, Jr. We had dinner with him and he told us great stories about growing up with The Beatles playing in his back yard. Tony, Jr. is a guitar player, Big Elvis fan, and had a rockabilly band at the time. This was about 3 years ago. That's it.
Hi quinn
Hey what a great story, and a fantastically small world!
