Alan Fortas book re-issue

Elvis: From Memphis to Hollywood by Alan Fortas is going to be released again next April after 10 years out of print.
Has anyone read it when it first came out? Is it worth buying?

I just looked on ebay - there are 2 of these books - one sells for $80.00 and the other for $300.00!!! What the heck is in this book that costs so much money?

I guess it is because it had been out of print for 10 years and should have been difficult to find. I don´t think any book is worth that money.
Amazon has it listed for around $17 new.

I believe if I can buy a new one for $17.00 that's the one I'll be buying. Look at some of the Amazon prices for "Elvis-What Happened"...some are listed at $47. I have my original, bought in August of 77 and the price on the book is $1.95.

I just got this book today and obviously i haven´t read it yet but I wanted to say that i was impressed for the number of pictures in it that i hadn´t seen before, most of them in the set of the films and in private with the boys. Even though they are in black and white and the paper in not very good quality they are great pictures.

I also have my original I bought on 8-15-77.
I do not recall reading the Fortas book-nor do I recall it at the bookstore in the past. Must have not sold well or I just missed it.

Hmmm....unfortunately, I'm not much up on Alan Fortas so I am not sure if his book would interest me or not...

I read the book when it first came out. It is a good book and well worth reading. I sold mine after I read it. Wait until it comes out again not worth $300.00

It is a new print. I only paid 10 € for it.
