And they did have a sexual relationship. Often those intimate times are the best times to talk and get to know the person's inner thoughts. As long as they were togeather you can't tell me they didn't have alone time and conversations revealing who they were. We are talking several years before they married. And then there is just watching the person interact with other that speaks volumes about who they are. Everything one does in there lives also are clues to who they are. You'd have to be blind, deaf and dumb not to put it all togeather. Maybe that is going back to what Cameron said, they were blind and refuse to put the puzzle of who they were togeather????
    These are great points Missy!

Like you I think he felt trapped too. I used decided because thatīs what she says. Something like " he told me he would know when the time was right"...
A strange way to be in love however the marriage took place.

I agree. Although I do think there was some love there for Priscilla, I don't believe for one second that he would have married her had Parker not "put his foot down" to Elvis about it or when her father asked him when he was going to make good on his promise to marry her.....

Oh and I don't think for a second that they waited till they were married to do the deed. Maybe till she was 18.(and untill they just did other things) And I don't care what Jo Esposito says. YOu don't live and sleep with a man for that many years and not have sex. No freaking way!

I don`t know when she fell in love with him, but I do believe that a 14 year old can fall in love. I fell in love with my husband at age 14. He was 17.

I think Priscilla at 14 and Elvis 24, he was a little older, she was still a teenager, but that doesn't mean she didn't fall in love with him...Age doesn't always come into play with love, it's really how you feel about someone and depends on the two involved..

I don't know about Elvis being "forced" to marry Priscilla because if he didn't really "love" her he could have just left her in Germany and not had any contact with her after the army...Why did he have her come to Graceland and live with him? Maybe, things changed for them after, but I think they did love each other.

At What point did Priscilla fall in love? Well, it's Elvis, so probably when he introduced himself

I agree with you Missy.....if they had that kind of will-power then they were really super-human. Not just Elvis, but Cilla as well. I can't imagine laying in the bed next to Elvis night after night and........oh well....you get the picture!!!

Don't forget how in the book she claimed she tried to get him to make love to her...shows that in the movie too. Now how many men do you think would be able to hold back under that kind of pressure?

Exactly! It's been awhile since I read that book, but doesn't she say that she begged him to sleep with her while they were still in Germany?? Puh-leeeez.....

Maybe they didn't sleep together right at first, but I don't buy that they didn't sleep together until May 1, 1968.

It must not interest Priscilla either, otherwise she wouldn't keep changing her story.

Considering Lisa Marie was born in February 1968, I think it's a safe bet to assume they slept together before May 1, 1968 ...

But as for May 1, 1967 ... let me be blunt. Although I am not a great fan of Cilla, I do believe her when she says they never had actual sex until their wedding night and that she was a virgin when they were married.

And when I say sex here, I mean the big one: part A into part B, like they tried to teach us at school. I think Elvis saw her as the potential mother of his child, and didn't want to "sully" her and her body. Elvis was funny like that, IMO.

However, I'm sure they had done everything else by the time the wedding night rolled around, so the actual "event" was the culmination of years of getting close.

And - inasmuch as many fans might not wish to hear this - I also believe Elvis had sexual relations with Cilla when she was under age. No doubt about it, IMO. Not the big one, I mean the other stuff. And probably as early as when she was 14, in Germany.

And there's no point in trotting out the old line of "Well, people were married very young in the South" or "It was the times" and things of that nature.

Cilla wasn't a Southerner: had the real story been exposed back when it was happening, I think charges could have been laid against Elvis.
    Getlo - cute'n'cuddly

    I agree...I think that's a pretty safe bet.

I agree with you, Jen. A persons sex life is no body else' s business.
