There are lots of things l like to get from EPE, just haven't decided what yet.
Inspired by Missy's idea of a bobble head set of the Presley's, I have come up with what could be a monster brilliant marketing tool. ELVIS FIGURINES!!!EPE and CKX could create an unique collection of Elvis themed figurines. Here's the themes that they could go with.
Sun Era (young Elvis)
Ed Sullivan Hound Dog
Jailhouse Rock (toe stance that Jackson stole)
G.I. Elvis
Blue Hawaii Elvis
Viva Las Vegas Elvis
Wedding Elvis
68 Comeback Elvis (guitar man segment)
68 Comeback Elvis (black leather stand up)
Vegas Elvis (1970 fringe suit)
On Tour Elvis (red lion suit with gold belt)
NY Garden Elvis (white suit with gold cape)
Aloha Elvis
Other figurines and models
Sam Phillips
Colonel Parker
Priscilla Presley (wedding gown)
Lisa Marie (famnily protrait)
Scotty Moore
Bill Black
DJ Fontana
The Jordaniers (as one set)
TCB band (as one set)
The Sweet inpsirations (as one set)
Graceland model
pink Caddilac model
black limousine model
black 73 Stutz model
Purple Caddilac
Lisa Marie plane model
Harley Davidson motorcycle model
That would be 30 themed items in all and would make up the full collection. It could be sold indvidually in stores across America. It would be similar to the M&M set of figurines and models that are very popular and now collectors items worth a lot fo money. EP fans galore would buy these up as collectables alone. Kids would want them too for their own collection! It could go a long way in getting kids interested into EP and his legacy and then turn them to his music. I am going to present this idea to EPE and see what they have to say. If they shoot it down and don't consider it then theya re blind *****s. This is a sure bet to be a big hit!!!!![]()

Now I don't mind this idea too much. They already have some Elvis dolls, cars etc. If they did this with good taste and with a close likeness to all the people involved, it might not be a bad thing.

I like that idea but a better one is make a series of Elvis in each and every jumpsuit. First series could be 50s - Elvis from all four of the 50s movies, Elvis last appearance on Ed Sullivan show, famous Milton Berle show of him singing Hound Dog, Gold Suit from Golden Records Volume 2. Second series 60s part 1 - Elvis Pearl Harbor Show 1961, Elvis at the piano from His Hand In Mine, Elvis, Elvis seen in Blue Hawaii, Elvis seen in Viva Las Vegas, Elvis seen in Trouble With Girls, Elvis seen in Change of Habit. Third series of the 70s could be the huge series - have Elvis in each and every one of his jumpsuits from 1970 to 1977. Suits that has capes with them add cloth to the figure and the cape could be extended to show what it look like. Now that is a series.![]()
I meant Milton Berle Hound Dog not Ed Sullivan. But both would be popular. I do see you point for the jumpsuits. I think a few of the recognizable and popular suits would be ideal but not all of them. The white August 1970 fringe, white On Tour lion, red lion, Hampton powder blue, the black pyramid, white pyramid (MSG LP cover), American Eagle (Aloha), Peacock, black Phoenix (Huntsville), red Phoenix, silver Phoenix, Indian suit, Gypsy suit, and Sundial suit-the last ever worn (but with a small 1972 waistline).
I think you also have a good point in that more is better at least from a collectors standpoint. I forgot all about the famous gold suit from 1957. But if that's included then there's no use for the Hawaii Benefit suit which was the same jacket from the gold suit, just with black slacks.
Some more movie themes would be Kid Galahad (with the boxing shorts), Harum Scarum (with the Egyptian head wear), Charro (with the beard) and Speedway (with the orange racing jumpsuit). Each one of these have a theme to them and that's what the whole collection would be-a theme collection.
So here's the newly revised list of what I will be presenting to EPE. All models would be cast iron and 6" tall.
Sun Era
Milton Berle Hound Dog
Ed Sullivan (Peace In The Valley suit)
Teddy Bear suit (from loving You)
Jailhouse Rock (toe stance)
King Creole (bell boy suit)
G.I. Elvis
Blue Hawaii Elvis (Hawaiian shirt from LP cover)
Kid Galahad (boxing sequence)
Viva Las Vegas (black suit red shirt)
Harum Scarum (Egyptian outfit)
Wedding Day Elvis (black tuxedo)
Speedway (orange racing jumpsuit)
68 Comeback 1 (black shirt red scarf with guitar)
68 Comeback 2 (black leather stand up)
Vegas Comeback Elvis (white fringe suit)
Red Lion suit (On Tour)
White Lion suit (On Tour)
Powder Blue Hampton suit (On Tour)
Black Pyramid suit
White Pyramid suit
Aloha Elvis
Peacock suit
Black Phoenix suit
Red Phoenix suit
Silver Phoenix suit
Gypsy suit
Sundial suit
Additional cast iron models
Graceland
Pink Cadillac
Purple Cadillac
Black Limousine
Black 1973 Stutz
Harley Davidson motorcycle
Lisa Marie plane
Elvis' Tour Bus
I have decided to drop the idea of additional band members and musicians only because they will want a profit cut to use their likeness in the set. But if EPE wants to pay them then more power to them.
NOTE: All of the figurines would be designed with complete details from alternate facial expressions to rhinestone designs on costumes. Just as they looked in real life. The autombile collection could be done with NASCAR cast iron set in mind where doors and hoods open. Plane stairway rolls out. Motorcylce handle twists.
