I know I pointed this out not long but if all these "new Elvis Christmas albums"
(which sell well each year) were added in to his Christmas total Elvis would have his first Diamond Record award for 10 million in sales long ago. But because of the way they repackage his 2 Christmas albums (which combine songs from both) and give it a new cover they do not count toward his original Christmas album total.
But the RIAA has certain rules and even though his Christmas music is the same songs each year-only when the original album is bought do his totals go up for that album. So the idea of repackaged Christmas music may help Sony/BMG for sales but it adds nothing to Elvis's original total. IMO it just keeps people from buying the original albums which do add to his total.
