I don?t think that he wanted to add Way Down, but I heard, that he wanted to change a setlist... and he wanted to play Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain.
On aug 16 1977 elvis was getting ready for his next tour, will his guys where,
if he have'nt died right on that day, and he went on that tour, what songs you think he would add, i know it would be same old stuff he did in the past,
but whould you think he would add "Way down" on that coming tour.
and maybe again "Moody Blue".
i all ready know that he was going to re-do Elvis in concert fliming.
so i think he would of add "Way down"
What do you think....you think he would have added "Way down"

Sweet child in time
you?ll see the line
line that?s drawn between
good and bad
see the blind man
shooting at the world
bullets flying taking toll
If you?ve been a bad
oh Lord I bet you have
and you?ve not been hit
by flying led
you?d better close your eyes
you?d better bow your head and
wait for the ricochet

That rumor seems to be supported by his having sung and played that song on the piano in the racquetball building several times or more during his final hours. Or, it was concocted with that in mind.Originally Posted by peter

...you won't forget me when I go.

Peter is correct - Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain was one of the songs, but I cannot remember the others?
Just to speculate here, but I would imagine E would have played Blue Eyes on the piano during the show.
