I have alway's known about and liked the main picture with Elvis holding the glass of water and jumping off the ramp, but upon going to FECC and seeing a full story about it and extra pictures, I found it even more interesting.I know it's not earth shattering stuff, BUT it really is a cool little story with some great pictures.And upon discovering how Sam Thompson has told fans recently that he was impressed by how Elvis did this seemingly simple task, I became even more intrigued and wanted to share the whole story with you! It really is a neat story, not spectacular, but a nice little experience from Elvis' June '77 tour ,and it has some nice pictures to go with it to boot! So I guess the reason I have made this extra post is to say that I realized that my headline of the event was missleading so to speak, and I just wanted to clear that up! Also hearing from some of the fellows at Fecc, they said at their age of 42 etc., that doing what Elvis did may look really easy but that they would have easily spilled their drink etc., so all together I just found it to be a really interesting thing, not like my headline led you to believe, that it was a spectacular accomplishment!

If people don't like what you post they should just find one of the other 30,000 posts to read. I never have understood why in here it always has to become some big silly pile on, Its just not that big a deal.

Dear Nolvis, there's nothing wrong with your title and unless you say some no,no! about Elvis,any title would irritate some members here. And do you - and others who are so "outraged" about this - restrict yourselves to whom you actually criticise?
It's just that I noticed on the loading dock pic thread that people slammed me, jak and others for daring to suggest that it was no big deal. It was just a picture, and that people had given Elvis way too much credit for a minor effort that anyone with a basic ability to walk could easily perform. (And I certainly include myself in that category).
And yet, Jumpsuit Junkie was the first to ask "In what way do (these pictures) show Elvis still had it?" (with all due respect to JJ here of course; I'm certainly not slagging him off for asking a question or offering an opinion).
So why wasn't he rounded on, when his post could easily be interepreted by some as taking the gloss of the "magnificent athlete" that was Elvis Presley? Do critics include JJ - and other moderators - in the "they're not a true Elvis fan because they obviously don't love him" category when they post often controversial opinions, or refute people's "facts" with the real story? Or when they get miffed at someone's comments?
(Again, JJ, not meant to slag you off at all, nor any of the other mods).

I dont think Nolvis or anyone including me saw anything supernatural in the picture actually or emphasize anything that way,and if there's something Mr.Thomson or anyone said about that day and the poster wanted to add it to the thread ,what was the big deal to bring it to the point of ridicule and making the thread's title almost a national anthem(or personal anthem I'd better say as you did with the "pure Elvis" word or thought which came from another individual) some of you really get a pleasure to push thoughts or views of others to a point of sickness,those pictures, wasn't really a big deal unless you and some other fun lovers made it so.What's wrong if a member got the idea of him feeling better in those pictures ,it might not only about drink and wall thing.Just think about it a little, there must be some people,who caused our friend to feel some kinda regret.Did it worth?
Btw,a thread called"the amazing way he threw the scarves " could have caused the 3rd World War I guess.I'll think about to post it whenever I want this world to come to an end.lol,it'll sure work!
