Thanks for posting Jen. I remember first time I saw the 74 pic, was thinking....wow he looked great in 77.., but later I found out about him wearing the suite in 74 and now I think I can tell if it`s a 74 or 77 pic.
Most fans probably know that Elvis wore the so-called "Sundial" suit quite often in 1977, but to many it's still a secret that Elvis actually introduced this very same suit in Lake Tahoe, on October 12, 1974. Not too many pictures of that particular show have surfaced, and when one of our members pointed out the inlay of the import CD "It's Tahoe Time" (Rainbow Records), we were amazed to find this beauty. Let's hope the book "Tahoe '74" by Praytome Publishing, set for release in 2008, contains more of these gems.

I knew that Elvis wore the sundial suit in 1974 and I don't find it hard to determine what pictures were taken at that time. I'd love to get that book too. Thanks for posting the info Jen.

I would think for the vast majority it is common knowledge that Elvis wore the Mexican Sundial in 1974, it would seem that Elvis had a new found love for several suits that were worn in 1974, in 1976/77 Elvis wore the following:-
The Arabian Second version aka King of Spades 1974-76-77
The White Rainfall 1975 was also worn in 1977
Pharaoh - aka Inca Gold Leaf 1974-76

if you look at pics or Elvis in 74 and in 77, there's a difference. How about some of you posting a comparison pic. Sorry, I would but am on my lunch break.
