Reply With QuoteMy first Elvis convention was at the British club`s just four days after Elvis` death in Nottingham. They were due to show "On Tour" and "Love Me Tender", but the latter was dropped because Elvis dies at the end, and obviously fans were very upset at the time.
I was in my early teens at the time, but even then, i was slightly disturbed to see Elvis-a-look-a-likes here and there, not to mention Todd Slaughter (the fan club big chief) signing autographs.
