Thread: Ever seen a "Joe Average" who looked like Elvis?

Cool Ever seen a "Joe Average" who looked like Elvis?

In this big wide world of however many million/billion... whatever, people on the planet, has anyone ever met, in their daily lives, someone or seen someone who looked like Elvis? You know, who reminded you of him... has the same shape face... maybe the same demeanour. I'm thinking, peeps, there must be someone (or a bunch of them) out there who looks just like him, who isn't famous (or immediately related) but just your average Joe, you know who works at the local garage, or maybe he's your accountant - LOL (heaven forbid, I just made that up). You know how some people look like other people? LOL. Do you know what I mean? I would love to hear your story, or better still see those special pics... of who you think looks like our man, the Big E! (Impersonators excluded).

I will start. My house mate Paul and I were talking about how I was into Elvis a couple of weeks ago, and Paul had forgotten about his Elvis lookalike encounter until I jogged his memory by being a rampant Elvis fan, and he said he knew this young bloke once who reminded him of Elvis. I wish he had a picture or something, or could be more specific. But that's all I've got. Just that little snippet of information. But it got me thinking about the above question and wondering if anyone else has had an Elvis lookalike encounter like this?

Oh yeh, I have another one. One ex-boyfriend Ben; there was something about him that just had Elvis written all over him (this was before I got into the Big E) - smouldering good looks, same kind of face, kinda... one of his friends I never met, used to say to him "EEEElllviiiiss! Why haven't you got a record contract, man!" in a broken English/Lebanese-type accent (I don't know what ethnic background he was) but it was very, very funny.

I haven't, but my twin sister took the bus to work last week, and she said there was this guy in the bus who looked just like Elvis.
When ever I take the bus to work now , I can't help to look around for this "Joe"

I have a brother named Elvis - does that count?

When we were in Gatlinburg, TN last year, we went into one of the Elvis stores and there was a guy who evidently does a Elvis show or something. But he was wearing a blue cape suit, the big diamond rings, the sideburns, talked and sounded liked him........ the store was playing Aloha from Hawaii concert on tv inside the museum/store and "Elvis' wife was buying Elvis Presley t-shirts. His voice didn't sound bad - couldn't really see his face because of the big sunglasses he wore inside the store.... but you see Elvis impersonators here in Nashville, and I know in Pigeon Forge - especially since there's a guy who has his own nightclub - Tribute to Elvis show there.

Now do they look like Elvis Presley - ummmmm no..... but they do all the dressing up like him, try to talk like him, use the hand movements, etc.

In my town there is a fairly well known impersonator by the name of Steve Davis. He is about 5 feet 6 or 7 inches tall and he is seen around town quite a bit. My aunt swears he is so much like Elvis its scary. He dresses in all black and he has the "thank you sir" down pat-but he looks nothing like Elvis.
Even in his Elvis jumpsuits with the wide rimmed glasses I just don't see it, but many around here think he is a clone.

Yes I had seen a man who looked quite a lot like a young Elvis (around 19) very many years ago in a restaurant in my home town. Looked for him time and again after that but never saw him again. Diane

There's a guy in my hometown who is an Elvis fan & used to do shows impersonating Elvis. I never saw him perform, so I don't know if he was successful. He had the pompador hairstyle & the massive sideburns, so when you saw him you think "oh yeah, he's trying to be Elvis". I've never seen anyone around here who made my heart skip a beat because he resembled Elvis, but I've been told I'm not very observant. Good topic, I'll have to be on the lookout now.

Oh yes I have! Man, I thought those that said they had seen Elvis were insane, but last summer I was working with a young guy, propably around 16 or 17 years old, that had striking resemblance to a young Elvis; I'm even going to go so far as to say a picture perfect copy of him.

I have never seen anyone that looked like Elvis, only millions of guys trying to look like Elvis. I can't imagine either how there could ever be another man as handsome as he was. He was truly gorgeous to look at.

I've never seen a Joe "average" who looked like Elvis, but I did see Max Pellicano up close. A very handsome man, and the most beautiful head a hair. I could only imagine what EP looked like!
