Was Jake Hess with the Imperials then? I was thinking it was Armond Morales.
Hello Friends!
Just got my hands on The Impossible Dream.. And I must say, when I listened to just that song, The Impossible dream, there is an "bas singer" that sings a few lines in this song... I got goosebumbs.. But, who is it? I know JD hadn't joined up with Elvis jet... Is it maybe Jake Hess? Or ? Please help me out on this one!

very funny.
yeah, that part of the song with the bass singer, is so very good...imagine that E uses that, one year later in the garden...I prefer the 71 version...![]()
I didn't remember his being with the group at that time (was thinking he was with them earlier and again later), but I should have realized it was him that TigerMan was hearing, since his voice is much more standout than Armond Morales'. Jake Hess had an amazing voice right up to the end of his life, which came very recently.
So yeah, I shoulda checked.![]()
