Elvis among youngsters

Do you think Elvis would be more popular among youngsters nowadays if he'd been still alive and performing?

...IMO he wouldn't of been, but am really curious to hear what others think about this. =)

I guess it would depend on what kind of show he would do, what kind of songs, clothes, styles, etc...But I don't think he could be admired by the new generation like he was in the 50s, there would be only few young people loving him, maybe the same teenager who are fans now...

Had he managed to get himself out of the rut he was in, and reinvented himself a la Roy Orbison or Tom Jones, then he'd probably be more popular now with the kids. But not by much.

But as it is - alive or dead - I don't think the percentage of younger fans would be all that different.

I think his popularity would have been for a certain demographic of youngsters. My son love Johnny Cash. Some youngster really surprise me these days. Many are into a variety of music. At least that is true with the ones I know.

i think that the years of Elvis bein un-popular with younger people is comin to an end, im 19 and more ppl i talk to about elvis like him than those that dont. i think alot of ppl even if they dont like the music, respect that elvis changed everythin, nd often ppl say
"oh he looked pretty cool" or i love this or tht even if theyre not a fan. just because younger ppl arnt walkin round with elvis t-shirts dnt mean tht they dnt respect him, i think this is sometimes misinterprited as them not liking elvis.
