Say what now?? The opening scene (which I'm guessing you are talking about, as the previous post you quoted talked about that) shows them stopping the car outside the main entrance, and in the next scene it's like they are coming in through a back door

...and nope, the raquetball court doesn't even come into this equation

If you look when they are getting out of the car the actress playing Ginger is wearing an all in one outfit. When you see them coming from the back of the house she is wearing a t-shirt and shorts. So yes the raquetball court does come into the equation. What else is it supposed to mean?

And if it was meant to be in the equation, the movie would have at least shown a couple of seconds of Elvis playing the game, don't you think? Or had a break in continuity or something?

No, the scene is meant to show him simply coming home through the front door and checking on Lisa, but they used the back way to make it quicker and more interesting ...

despite the issues with accuracy, it was superior to a lot of the other Elvis stuff coming out around then. Anyone remember "Elvis and the Beauty Queen"? Lord have mercy.

The part I liked best about "This Is Elvis" were the quick action concert shots of him with Promised Land playing in the background.

    The soundtrack was great also.

This movie was one of the best movies ever .. it is hilarious!

Anyone taking it as a serious attempt at an Elvis-related movie has missed the point.

Actually, the video you referring to is not of him in Memphis but it is of him at the Thunderbird Casino in Las Vegas. He stopped the show because a man took a scarf from a woman and they got into it and she got it back. Johnny stops the shows and gives the man one and says "is everybody happy now". He goes on with the show after that.

Ok if you say so. how do you explain the change of outfit by the actress who plays Ginger if that's the case?

I have to agree with Gary on this one. Remember The Colonel had a hand in this movie so there's probably a ton of deleted scenes that they didn't have time for.
He was very old fashioned about stuff like that.
The point the Colonel wanted to make was that, Elvis died for his fans. I see that clear in the editing of the original version.

    Just wondering...
Is there a way we could get in touch with Johnny Harra and ask him if they shot any scenes that are not included?
