    I know makes no sense.

Cameron I don't think it's in the Historical landmark, I don't remember reading it there.

Near my father in law, there is a private cemetary, for the family of the founders of Yorba Linda Ca., it too is part of the historical society and family was allowed to be buried there til the descendants were no longer wanting to and no longer decesdants left.

Elvis' Grandmother, his mother and his dad are burried at Graceland. So it would be a logical step to burry Lisa and Priscilla (how long does it take for plastic to rot?) there, too. I wouldn't have a problem with the fact that the whole family is buried there.

I agree w/the exception of Pris. and ROF @ the plastic comment.

I guess Lisa will decide when time has come but it would not be so odd for her to have her father and mother together.

But I don't think <Pris will end up there, I think she will choose LA for her final resting place.

She never cared for Memphis very much either
It's hard NOT to imagine Elvis as perfect; how else could someone be THAT good looking, THAT talented, THAT generous & THAT charismatic

I 100% agree w/all you've said w/exception of Pris ending up there, I don't think Lisa would do that????? But I don't know, however, I do think Pris will end up in L.A..

I tried looking into the Laws concerning burial at Historical Sites .
Most concerned the American Indian burial sites.

I did see where MLK Jr. wife was buried where he was.
It's recognized as an Historical Site and she passed away just last year .
That was his wife, of course.
Guess it would be decided case by case.
But, I don't think Priscilla or Lisa wants to be buried at Graceland, IMO.

I think Lisa will be buried at Graceland and Cilla in L.A..
...you're moving on the back roads, by the rivers of my memory and for hours you're just gentle on my mind.

Lisa will never be buried at Graceland.

    And nor will anyone else.
From what I have read that is not true:http://www.nps.gov/history/nhl/
    6. How will Landmark designation affect my ability to make changes to my property?

Listing of private property as a National Historic Landmark or on the National Register does not prohibit under Federal law or regulations any actions which may otherwise be taken by the property owner with respect to the property. The National Park Service may recommend to owners various preservation actions, but owners are not obligated to carry out these recommendations. They are free to make whatever changes they wish if Federal funding, licensing or permits are not involved. (Questions regarding Federal involvement are answered in the next section.) Federal laws that involve National Historic Landmarks are listed in the Federal regulations governing this program, specifically in 36 CFR 65.2 "Effects of Designation" (c)(1-7).

If I am reading this correct since Graceland is not Federally funded, and as long as all proper permits are issued by Memphis, Lisa could do whatever she wants-presumably also including burial there if the state and city would allow it.

Naturally I would prefer if Priscilla wasn`t buried at Graceland.....isn`t there some law that says something about the smell of sh*t at a historical site?

Graceland was still a home when those people were buried. It's no longer a home by any sense of imagination.Nobody is going to be buried at geaceland ever again.

That's the way I understand it too.
As long as the state and city allows; she can do whatever she wants.
I can't imagine Lisa or Priscilla agreeing to any restrictions by the government .

I can see Priscilla wanting to be buried at Graceland...that way she can "rest in peace" knowing that she will forever be associated with Elvis Sadly....the more I think about it, the more I see it. I don't know about Lisa..I guess that depends on her age and the status of her children and such At some point in any family someone has to be the brave one and branch off and start their own plot..so to speak

Thank you I didn't remember reading that it couldn't be done. And as for the State and City why would they deny when they've allowed it starting in 1977 and ending w/Minnie Mae. If Lisa chose to I do believe she could.

Truthfully I don't know what Lisa will want for herself or for Priscilla but the question of "whether it can be done"- is it can I'm pretty sure- from a legal standpoint. As I have quoted before The laws for National Landmarks do not prohibit it from being done. As long as local statuates are followed and no federal money is involved Any historic landmark "privately owned" can be altered. This would be a matter for the city of Memphis and the state of Tennesee to decide if it might come up.
Memphis depends on tourists to keep their citys economy growing- I can see where down the line they might like to see Lisa buried near her father. I don't know how they might feel about Priscilla. I think it boils down to would it help attract visitors to Memphis. Lisa buried near her father might be fitting in many peoples eyes. Priscilla could be a push.

I don't really think priscilla would want to buried at graceland, theres no reason why she would want that when she spent along time in LA and seems to enjoy it. Lisa kids will have to decide where Lisa gets bureid or where Lisa states she wants to go, but l don't think she wants to be buried there either.

Lisa in a couple of interviews has made mention of the space next to her grandmother (really great grandmother, Minnie) waiting for her, so she could very well request that she be buried there, but that is her decision and one decades away from here.
My ? was about Pris....and legally, @ least going by the cemetary and what Cameron said about the wife, I don't think it would be a problem for more people to be buried at Graceland (Pris and Lisa) if they so chose.
