I'm one of those ppl who thinks Elvis didn't cheat on her while he was married untill after she did. Call me naive but people may have seen and heard things but I'm just not convinced. So if he was faithful and finally gave his best shot at the marriage and then she cheated on him, can you imagine how hurt he would have been? I think once he committed himself to the marriage he wanted it to work. I don't think she hurt his ego as much as she broke his heart. Trust was difficult for him when it came to women. Maybe if he didn't trust her, he had good reason, and she for him. But if they tried and she betrayed him, that would really hurt bad. And yes, when he was depressed, or melancoly, I think he wished it would have worked out, wish she hadn't blown it. And missed what they had when she was pregnant for Lisa and right after. I think that was the happiest time for him. You can just see it on his face. Oh and that part about he wouldn't touch her after Lisa was born, that happens and it is usually a faze. I have seen it.
when did joyce come into the pic???
Elvis was very big on keeping promises. He did not make a promise to be faithful when he brought Cilla to Graceland. But in his vows he did. Do you remember the pledge he made with Billy? It was his nature to keep his word and that was often a heavy burden at times. And in so many aspects he kept up his end of bargains he made. It's pure speculation what the deal was between Elvis and Pricilla father concerning marriage. For all we know it could have been if he got her preg. he would marry her. He for the most part kept the bargin most people know about (aside from her always living with Vernon-but really that is not a big one if you ask me) So for the most part, Elvis honored his committments. That is why I think while there may have been things Pricilla did not like in the marriage, I believe he kept his promise. And if he cheated after she did, well once one person breaks a vow, it is broken period. IMO
Joe never has anything bad to say anything relating to the Elvis circle with money. This is the man that said, Elvis was found dead on his bed. I know it's nobodies business but he could've just said,"No Comment". I never cared about what he had to say cause he's constanly playing the role of covering up for The Colonel, Elvis and Cilla. That was the order of importance to him.
Cilla reminds of those High School girls that go out with guys cause of the kind of cars they drive or what kind of money they are going to spend on HER. That's it.
I went out with a similar type of woman and even thought I knew the break up was the only way to go, I was upset at losing such a pretty and sexy woman that I invested so much into.
She's all about money and that's it. Lisa I'm confused about. I see a lot of Elvis in her yet at the same time I see her mother come through from time to time.

I don't think she married elvis for the money, l turly belive they loved eachtogther but things feel apart after lisa was born and elvis according to some books didn't want to touch her, it also has said in the 2 MM book that elvis didn't want to sleep in the same bed with her after lisa so if that was me l would of left and moved on with my life cause if he couldn't touch her like he used whats the sense of being there. In this Elvis presley by Bobbie ann Mason book it says it was the col that set the marriage up and told elvis you either marry her or kick her out and elvis being the gentleman he was married her instead.

You don't cheat on someone you love after having his baby 4 months before. (Just because he won't have sex with you) Oh poor Cilla. Marriage is about a whole lot more things than that.
this kind of thing happens all the time..we just don't hear about it. priscilla stronger than me l would of left along time ago when he first cheated.

Thanks Missy. The level of fame Elvis was at, no one can comprehend but how much you wanna bet that if Elvis' mother was alive, Cilla would'n't have got her meat hooks on Elvis.
Let's face it, Elvis' mom was the type of person that,"kept it real", she wanted Elvis to marry a simple girl not a money grubbing little ********************. Cilla fed Elvis' ego. I mean fed it all the time. Her book is total BS and so is her movie. Sometimes I get sick seeing fake movies about Elvis like that.
Hasn't Priscilla backtracked on that lately? I thought she'd said in some recent interviews that she doesn't know where people got the idea she and Elvis didn't sleep together at all after Lisa was born. You can just see it on his face. Oh and that part about he wouldn't touch her after Lisa was born, that happens and it is usually a faze. I have seen it.
It's too bad Elvis didn't get a chance to write a book of his own -- or didn't even give more interviews when he was alive. His take on everyone else's accounts would be interesting to say the least.
iF SHE did say that, she's just a story teller all around. I believe that Albert Goldman first mentioned it in his book and she backed it up with her book and movie. She's so old school when it comes to interview doesn't she know about a simple,,google search.
The Love that was involved was the the love of money and self pleasure.
