I also think the mix is not so good. The backup vocal drowned her voice out. That should never happen. But I am really really picky about stuff like that.

O.K. this song is sad, but would have been healing, so this is lovely. (If I'm right in my summation).

I love the beginning of the song "Raven", with Lisa's baby voice, gurgling... "ba, ba', ba, ba". I feel that the lyrics to this song are well written, telling a story, from Lisa's heart.

I love the backing music, and in the beginning of the song, Lisa's purposeful soft voice, caressing the song. I believe Lisa wrote this song, for Cilla, (please correct me if I'm wrong) from her heart, the lyrics speak for themselves. Lovely.

Goosebumps. Lisa, talking to Cilla about forgiveness, figuring out their ground, which they have.

P.S. Hearing her speaking, I think she was one of those cute babies, who vocalised about her world a lot! lol Baby Lisa: "I've got so much to think about .... I think I love you........" lol..... )

yep Raven is for priscilla, really is a touching song indeed. I can relate to this song, it took me along time to come to terms with my mom and finally we have found a place where we both can get along

    Hugs to you and Riley.

    Hi

Yes, they did, thank you for noticing...though I did not send to Riley directly as I only recently "met" her, lovely lovely person, anyway, though she made the video (and well done! ), I have posted these on LMP's website and elsewhere on the web and the earlier shots I had restored, and given to whom I thought were friends and they passed along as "their collection" but that's ok, I know where they got them and they know where they got them.

Again thank you for noticing. Much appreciated.

I adore this song. Makes me feel closer to Lisa because she lets her feelings out, which she doesn't usually as she is a very private person.

OK, Lisa's music is off-topic but I am trying to make it on-topic here for you folks.

I do like this song. It was by far my favorite on her first CD and this line has always intrigued me:

But I wanted you to know that I heard what you said when it was rainin'

Wouldn't you love to know the story behind that one? Of course it could have been an occurrence from any day, but I have wondered about 8/15 - 8/16...didn't it rain a little bit that night/morning?

I could be confused but I seem to remember Billy saying something about that, like when they were going out to the racquetball building for the last time. Elvis made the rain stop for them or something like that.

Anyway, you could see where it might be something from his final hours because why would she need to tell him now that she heard what he said? Well, if she never got the chance, that could be a reason.

All pure speculation on my part, but hey, I do a lot of that. That is probably one of those memories that is deeply personal and she will keep to herself.
...you won't forget me when I go.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. Maybe another reason she is saying it now is because she couldn't fully understand it as a child?
    Anyway...I love the song.

Lisa is a very private person so maybe we will never know the meaning behind that saying in that song, but l'am glad that she can write her feelings on paper than hanging on to things.

I like alot of her songs but that is definitely NOT one of them. I thought it was one of the worst recordings I've heard of the song other than Jefferson Airplane(or whatever their name is).
