I think it's a wonderful song, she loved and daddy and she shows it. I think it a very deep song as well it's also a child and adults perspective on him.
i just heard this song for the first time today. i was wondering what others thought of it. i know some of us dont like lisa but putting that aside what are your feelings? you can tell she sure loves her daddy.

I'm not a huge fan of Lisa's but that song isn't too bad. Lights Out is by far my favourite of her songs

I like this song, but have to be honest - her words are hard to understand.......I wish I knew the lyrics better. But yes, it is a good song and the video is excellent!
Hope this helps you kelly
"Nobody Noticed It"
I heard broken footsteps
Was that you limping
Well I wish I that could have spent just a little bit more time with you...yeah
Tears on my ceiling
Weren't you watching
Well I guess that none of us will ever know what comes after this
You're still lovely
You were lovely then
All that you had to endure
I guess nobody noticed it
I know your resemblence
Um it's out there walkin'
And I wanted you to know that I haven't forgotten
When they try to make you look broken
Not while I'm livin'
But I wanted you to know that I heard what you said when it was rainin'
You're still lovely
You were lovely then
All that you had to endure
I guess nobody noticed it
You made me
I love you
And do you know nothing has changed
Now everyone they notice it
Everyone notices
You're still lovely
You were lovely then
All that you had to endure
I guess nobody noticed it
You made me
I love you
And do you know that nothing has changed
Now everyone they notice it
Everyone notices
Thanks Jen! yes that helps, I like the song and the music, but I have a hard time hearing the lyrics....how about that song, "When The Lights Went Out In Memphis" or whatever the correct name is? That is about her dad as well isn't it? I guess I need to buy her cd don't I? She sort of grows on you.
Now everytime I hear "In The Ghetto" by her father only - I automatically hear the version she redid....
Wow, I had never heard that song...sat here and watched it bawling like a baby!!!!
"...You never stood in that man's shoes, or saw things through his eyes, or stood and watched with helpless hands, while the heart inside you dies. So help your brother along the way, no matter where he starts. For the same God that made you made him too...these men with broken hearts." Hank Williams, Sr, as quoted by

Thank you for posting this....yes it does get to you for sure. No doubt how much Lisa loved her dad.

This is a beautiful song, and a beautiful dedication, to Elvis.
Written with love, from Lisa's heart and soul.

I wouldn't call myself a huge fan of her music, but I have heard 3 or 4 of them including this one that I enjoyed and I wouldn't be surprised if one or two more get added to that some day. I didn't care for her cover stuff, but the original tunes about her family were enjoyable to me.

I loved the song the moment I heard it.
She has said that "Lights Out" was not about Elvis, but to me it so is, espescially the part about the backyard. Actually when it first came out she said it was, but since then has said no it isn't.
"Nobody Noticed It" she wrote after watching E True Hollywood Story.
I thought it would great to to add:
I know "Dirty Laundry" is a cover, but love this song!
Love Lisa's acting during the clip, yeah! Go girl!

yep Jess l agree. lisa rocks.
I really like that song, too. She also has a few others that are really good. Check out her web page and myspace.
...you're moving on the back roads, by the rivers of my memory and for hours you're just gentle on my mind.
I honestly don't care for it. I don't care for her style and voice in some songs. I was impressed by In The Gheto.
I liked her version of"Dirty Laundry."
The one I still think is the best with her dad :
Don't Cry Daddy![]()
"I have learned never to ridicule any man's opinion, however strange it may seem."
the only thing I have to say is - she needs to be more clear in her lyrics....I can't understand what she is saying......is it just me? Otherwise I do like it.
Lisa does rock Jen, and in that context, what wonderful therapy can this song be for some-one, if they need it? lol

P.S. I read that Lisa liked Pat Benatar, who also rocked, way back "when" lol, whom I also loved. Could have been an influence.
