    I just bought a book tonight called elvis presley by Bobbie Ann Mason, and l wanted to know if its a very good book???

    Well, I think it's a good book for someone who's just become a fan, or has a casual interest in Elvis. It's not a detailed biography like Peter Guralnick's books. It's also definitely not a tell-all type book. The book's strongest point is probably that Bobbie Ann Mason is a Southern writer, so she has a different perspective on Elvis than someone like Goldman - or even Peter Guralnick.

    Good answer, Alessia. That was basically my take on it as well. Not essential and nothing groundbreaking about it, but an enjoyable read even if it seemed off on a few points and to skim over some essentials.
