    Finding Graceland

I can't find it, anybody has a map?
Just kidding, this is the title of a movie made in 98...I read a good review of it, and I was wondering if anyone had seen it? What do you think of it as an Elvis fan?

Well, I bought a copy. I loved it !! It was very sad, really.
The guy playing Elvis looks nothing like him..but for some reason ,I never minded him compared to others.

It basically showed why Elvis could never go home again.
    It's a good story, so I won't spoil it you .

Yeah, it's a very sweet film, and the final scenes were filmed at Graceland.

And I mean at ... and inside ... Graceland. The stars Hervey Keitel and Johnathon Schaech wander about inside the house.

Rent it if you can; it's definitely worth seeing.

I agree with Getlo. I bought the film and it is sweet and I would recommend it to anyone.

There is no ambiguity in the film at all, cameron.

He's not Elvis ... that's the whole point!

    And weren't you ignoring me?

I'm trying to ignore you. Doesn't mean I can't see you.
People can interpret things for themselves . You do.

It's a very good film.Dont be mistaken to think youre getting an Elvis bio or anything. The main character is not supposed to be Elvis. He's a guy who thinks he's Elvis.Keitel is excellent.

At the time I bought it ; there were many people saying Elvis hadn't died, etc. etc. and wanting him to "come back"

After watching that film, I realized just how awful for him it would be if anything like that were true. I pointed many in the direction of that film.
Someone would have to have a heart and great compassion to understand.

Priscilla was an Executive Producer for that film.

Jak and Getlo are right. This is not a bio film. It is about a poor sad sweet guy who thinks he's Elvis.

    Like in Bubba Ho Tep?
Ok, thanks for your answers, they made me want to see this movie...Now I will try to find it.

No, Bubba Ho Tep WAS supposed to be Elvis....this guy isn't and it's more a serious and sentimental type of film.

Finding Graceland was one of my favorite movies. Very sweet, the ending - IMO, was spectucularly done. Not the scenery, although it was good, just the storyline. It tied everything together for me. I'm being vague because you haven't seen it, Rover. Let us know what you think. Another cute one is Elvis Has Left the Building. It's truly a farce, but their treatment of Elvis impersonators was just too funny!

Just pretend, I'm holding you, and whispering things soft and low.
And think of me, how it's gonna be and just pretend I didn't go

It depends on how you look at it.This was not intended to be a bio, I agree.Never thought it was.. Nor did I say the guy was Elvis. You are correct in saying it was "a guy that thought he was Elvis." I just went a little further and imagined it could be. I was surprised that Cilla had anything to do with it too.
I just realized at the end, there's no way anyone can go home again. None of us.
What's happened has happened . It stays in the past.
