I'd suggest it's from 1974 or 1975, as Elvis stopped smoking cigars in '75.

No, he stopped some time in '75. Although he may have continued into very early '76. He realised he was getting older and couldn't do that to himself anymore. Kind of sad, when you consider what other crap he was consuming.

I don't recall seeing a cigar photo after '75.

Does anyone else bust out laughing at the visual in your head of Elvis and Ginger sitting on the front porch reading a newspaper, while fans were inching their way up the driveway?? I wonder if Elvis was like most other men and was reading the sports page first??

I've only gotten 1/2 way through these posts - but how many have actually been to Graceland? Do you know how far it is from the opening of the driveway up to the house? My guess is she was looking through binoculars or something.....and Elvis and Ginger would not have been able to see from the porch all the way down to the opening of the gates/driveway......that would be my guess......

So, as I said, if you can find pictorial evidence of Elvis enjoying a stogie post 1975, please share it with the rest of us.

I might politely suggest you do a lot more reading about Elvis before launching loosely-disguised attacks on me ... again.

I presume you know nothing of the letter he wrote a couple of years before he died, pledging to get himself clean and to stop smoking cigars?

Attacks? You made a claim that you have no way of backing up. You said it, but YOU have no proof. You prove it big boy, bet you can't.

It doesn't work like that. For the following two reasons:

1 . It is relatively common knowledge in the Elvis world that he gave up cigars about two years before he died, after spending the last year smoking them with a plastic holder. The knowledgable fans on here should attest to that. Your assertion that he kept smoking them until the end goes against that common knowledge, therefore the onus is on you to prove he didn't ... should you wish to keep this debate going.

2. You were the one who made the first challenge against my assertion about this subject:

Therefore, again, the onus is on you to prove your case first.

Finally, if someone had first said that Elvis smoked cigars until the end, then it would be on me to prove that he didn't, in the second instance.

I'm not sure and I didn't post the pic because of it - my original intention was to show the last photo's of him in 1977, but it wouldn't let me because I had posted it in another thread, and someone already posted the one with him, Ginger and Lisa in the car. I ran across the cigar photo while looking for the others and the title was "1976cigar" so knowing of the discussion with you and Getlo (or someone and Getlo) decided to post it......
