I was just wanting to know if there were any Elvis Insiders members here and if so, would you recommended international fans joining?
I was thinking about becoming a member and I know that the memberships give you discounts at Graceland etc, but was wondering if the rest of the membership was worth the price?

It's not worth it, the only thing vaguely valuable for people outside the US is the 10% off purchases on ShopElvis.com, however, if you are just like me - prefer cd's, books and a few dvd's, then european retailers are more than enough.
Nearly everything else is only for those in the US, such as $3.00 off parking at Graceland, 10% off the published room rate at Elvis Presley's Heartbreak Hotel, 10% off purchases at the Graceland, Heartbreak Hotel and Sun Studio gift shops, 10% off purchases at the Graceland restaurants and EP Delta Kitchen and Bar, 20% tour tickets for Sun Studio - note however, "No discounts on gift certificates, hotel packages or alcoholic beverages".
And regarding just the membership at the site, it gets you a "membership kit"; two extra webcams, "One cam features a view looking out of Elvis's bedroom window at the front lawn of Graceland and another offers a view of the meditation garden.."; "Rarely seen Elvis Presley photos, Graceland artifacts, Elvis video clips and rare documents from the Graceland archives" - the "Elvis Treasures" book is more than enough for me for that & "You'll also be given confidential information, exclusive updates, and news about Elvis before anyone else" - frankly, that isn't that big of deal for me, nor pretty much none of the above
When I'll go and visit Memphis and Tupelo in 20xx, I'll join the insiders, but only just because of the trip. However, it's now just a complete waste of money - in my opinion
I am an insider and although it is nice, I dont think it is worth it unless you are planning on buying lots of merchandise to get the 10% discount. The forum there is nice but TCB WORLD IS MUCH BETTER - honestly. The chat is not worth it at all. I am here much more and myelvisworld.com than I am at the Insiders site. I probably wont renew.

yes main reason I got my Insiders membership is because I was going to graceland and staying at heartbreak hotel - so got my discounts on that and any merchandise I purchased....
I have to agree with ones saying it's not worth it. Not even to ones living in the US. Doubly so for fans in other countries.

Thanks for all your replies... I might hold off on the membership for now and if I do get lucky enough to make my way to Graceland will think twice then.

Well i have to say i've been a member for four years.And enjoyed every minute of it.I've made some great friends on there.I've never been to Graceland.But at least i know when i do get there the discounts will be worth it.Plus during BW and EW there are are things going on that only insiders can get into.
