One of my favorites is "The King is gone (and so are you)" by George Jones. Great song, Its George getting drunk after his wife left him, sitting around talking to a Fred Flintstone Glass, and a Elvis Presley Jim Beam decanter that came to life and give him advice as he sings "Yaba Daba Doo The King is Gone and so are you".... I loved it.

Mac Davis who wrote several songs for Elvis , mentioned Elvis in "Hooked on Music" a rock n Roll tribute song he sang himself in the 80s.

It's ok, everyone needs to do that now and then.

There's a country song out there called "Maybe It Was Memphis". Can't recall who sings it.

Also the song "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes" by George Jones, has a verse about Elvis in it..Something along the lines of "God bless the boys from Memphis, Blue Suede Shoes and Elvis, much to soon he left this world in tears".
"How do I get placed in situations like this? Ah hell, I guess it's all part of showbusiness "~ Elvis in his limo on his way to perform in Omaha, NE on June 19th 1977
