I'd love to own one of Tunzi's books. His photographs were beautiful..but his books are out of sight in price now.

The Elvis Sessions III book would be a nice addition to any collection with a lot of info, but also some speculations about did he or did he not record this or that.
When it came out I read that it also wasn't that accurate at some points.
Maybe someones else knows if this is true.
Still a great book when you want to know everything about the recording sessions.

The inaccuracies are few and far between, and it is generally very reliable. Although, it has one pic from 1973 labelled as 1976, and a few other things like that. Small things, nothing major.
But now the book is a bit out of date, as there has been a lot of new stuff (especially alternate takes) that have emerged since the book was last published in 2004.
But it's an excellent reference guide; I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get serious about Elvis' music.

And let's not forget the five FTD releases.
Four of them are worthwhile, the last one so far: Live In L.A. isn't that great, a lot of blurry pictures, which is a shame.
And the old The Concert Years book by Stein Erik Skar is still worth while, because of the newspaper concert clippings and the interesting info and the great pictures.

the rugerro book is great and filled with pics from the uniondale performances both aft/eve and some real great close up shots, as is bud glass born to rock, i just hate that johns book was a soft back. another great and rare book is BOBBY AND ELVIS , by his cousin bobby it ws a great book filled with shots of him wearing the leather jacket the hilton gave him in 72 by northbeach leather, all 8x10 shots , including some of him wearing the redscarg draped across his chest[he loved that look] a real rare and great little softback.

Tunzi books are very expensive, and iof any of them grab your attention, it's always best to get them from him or an Elvis club when they first come out.
They're published in such limited numbers that the prices keep going up.
I stopped buying his picture books years ago as they're pretty much all the same after a while.
