This suit was used at Madison square garden, all the pictures you have put up here now exept the two on the top, are from MSG.
The two at the top are from Las Vegas august - September 1972.

Actually that isn't exactly correct...

All except the top two are from Chicago not MSG. MSG was the last time in 72 that he used the RE15 microphone on tour. In Chicago he used the Shure SM57 with windscreen which is what he is using in these pics.

You are right about the top two though...they are from Vegas Aug-Sep 72.

The B & W Shots in the first post except for the cape shot (MSG) are from the Chicago June 16 '72 concert. Those were printed in a Tunzi book several years ago.... which had some fantastic photos of this suit in it.

I'm trying to figure this out... what's the difference between this jumpsuit(Anonis/Comet jumpsuit) and Adonis jumpsuit?? The design looks pretty much the same to my eyes....

Well...isn't that first pic taken from the Planet jumpsuit(aka Saturn suit)? The second pic is in this thread already... so that makes it the Anonis/Comet jumpsuit i suppose. This pic i attached is taken from the Adonis jumpsuit thread... i think it looks just like the Anonis/Comet jumpsuit. Wow...now i'm confused! I hope you understand what i'm trying to say...

The first Jumpsuit is the Comet/Planet Jumpsuit. The second one is the Adonis Jumpsuit...... an easy way to distinguish between the two is that the Adonis has port holes on the chest V shape.

There's a nice story about the "Adonis Jumpsuit". In 1979 Kurt Russell played Elvis in the movie with the same name. At the end of the movie was the scene where Elvis' comeback in Vegas was shown. Kurt is then dressed in what many believed was a copy of the "Adonis Suit" but in fact it was the original. The director contacted Vernon Presley to ask permission to take a tour through Graceland to give Kurt the opportunity to get the Elvis feel. Remember that in those days Graceland was still a home and not a public museum. Vernon liked the idea and invited both men and also added it would be better for Kurt to try on one of Elvis' costumes to get the real feeling. That's the way this costume found its way into the movie although historical it's not correct. The "Adonis Suit" was designed in 1972 and therefore it does not fot in a movie which eneded in 1969.
