    Elvis writing a book

If elvis had the chance to write a book what kind of things would you want to know about??

That is a good question Jen. I guess I would like to know more about his childhood, his mother and his father. I guess mainly his roots.
America has contributed four things to the world that are really unique: Baseball, Coca-Cola, Mickey Mouse and Elvis Presley. And only one of them is human - - Jerry Hopkins - "Elvis" - A Biography.

I would like to hear him answer questions that other people have answered about him since his death and put to rest a lot of accusations that have been made about him. Would really like to hear what he had to say.

Well, I would LOVE to be able to hear Elvis' side of the many stories that have been put out in the public since his passing. I would be especially interested in hearing his version of the marriage and it's downfall! I would like to know just exactly how he might feel about the person that Lisa has grown to be...and if he would approve or disapprove of her lifestyle. I would also like to be able to hear his opinion on Gladys and Vernon, their marriage, and his relationship with each of them. Geeze...I guess I just want to know it all, huh?

Daddy, I miss you more every day. You will always be my hero..

Besides everything? I would want to know about his Hollywood/Las Vegas years as they pertain to other stars. Which people he got to know, little anecdotes about different stars. What it was like to work with different people. Then when he's done with that page. . .

I'd like to know about the start of it all, his 'shake rag' days, the people that really influenced him, all the musicians that he listened to, what was it about them that would draw a little tow-haired boy into their world. The church influence - the preacher that he most admired - whose name I cannot remember, urghhh! That's what would interest me most.

Just pretend, I'm holding you, and whispering things soft and low.
And think of me, how it's gonna be and just pretend I didn't go

Oh yeah, I'd also love to hear about the outlandish stories & rumors, which ones he'd heard & what his take is on them. With his sense of humor - he's gotta have some great turn of the Elvis phraseology!

too bad he never had the chance. I think it would have been a great book and I don't think he would have lied either
It's hard NOT to imagine Elvis as perfect; how else could someone be THAT good looking, THAT talented, THAT generous & THAT charismatic

I guess I would like to know about how he felt...being the King, having tons of fans, etc...He is the only one who could answer that.

    Him.

And his feelings, what he felt when he became famous. What he felt when he met Priscilla, what he felt about having the MM around him. And what he felt when his mother died.

I wouldn't wana know about the people around him, as it always it about them, i want to know him, Elvis the man, not the image.

It would be a great book

Elvis had a great natural intelligence and a sense of humor, He also had a spiritual and philosophical side. He was a genius, at least at producing & singing music. With the help of a articulate ghost writer, I think a meaningful book could have been written, had the prescription drug mess not stopped his productivity, and ruined his career.

I'd like to know if he is alright. What can others do to help?

Elvis wanted to write a book called, "Through My Eyes" about his life.

Wouldn't that be nice for a change. I have to agree.

And this can be attributed to more than one person as being a true statement?

    I think not.

I sure wish he had written Through My Eyes. We would then have at least something to find a balance with all the other books that has been written...two sides instead of one.

I would have like him to have written about his life from start to finish.

So sad that Elvis never got the chance to do something like this. Certainly alot of mis oppurtunities in his career. Same thing happened with his Karate film he wanted to make in late '74. Of course the Colonel ruined that idea.
