    I completely agree!

I wish I had it in my collection, along with the stuff Ginger Alden was selling. If any new Elvis auctions come along I hope somone will post the info on these forums. The last big Elvis item I heard about selling at auction was a gold plated gun that Elvis gave to Jack Lord. It was from his estate sale & sold for $28,000!

Sorry, but wasn't this love letter sold like 10 or 15 years ago?

The current link on eBay is for a reproduction!

And in any case, it's Anita's to do with what she likes. Good luck to her.

It does not matter how long ago it was we are simply putting our thoughts in writing about how we feel that she has sold the love letters, we dont all agree with one another we just want to disscus it.

I've read that letter before and I just can't understand, how could she or anyone do that??? Those things are private and I would never, ever sell a letter from someone I loved.Love doesn't cost anything,it's really disgusting and sad what she did IMO.

I have read over the posts of Ginger selling Elvis items and this one and having thought a bit more about each of them, I honestly can't see either lady being in desperate enough straits to warrant these sales - haven't heard of them suddenly becoming street people for instance. My only conclusion is that he didn't mean that much to either of them.

What are you two talking about? Who said anything about not discussing it? I'll have to remember that line next time someone rips into myself and others for discussing Elvis' drug use.

As for Anita or anyone selling their Elvis items ... I decided a while back that one day - I don't know when yet - that I will sell my Elvis collection for as much money as possible, except for a few essential LPs, CDs and books. When I have a few more years on me, probably, and towards what I hope will be the end of my long life.

That way, some younger fans will get to enjoy it as I have. I have no one to leave it to anyway. And, if I had something that Elvis had actually given me, it would also go. Show me the money!

As they say, you can't take it with you.

So for Anita (and Ginger, btw, in relation to the other thread) their Elvis stuff is theirs to sell. It's no business of ours what their motivations are.

It all depends on how you look at things. Some people are not so atached to material things and no one will take their memories from them, that is more important anyway. They are just clothes and a piece of paper and whoever bought those things and paid such big money will sure take care of them.
Iīm sure they keep other things from Elvis and we donīt know it.

Couldnīt remember what the letter said exactly and just went to read it.
NO WONDER IT MEANS LITTLE TO HER.
Cīmon he was lying more than other thing to her in it. I would have made the same if I were Anita, grab the money and buy me something nice or whatever.
    What a nerve Elvis had!

Sorry Elvis you deserved it LOL.

Well, these letters were certainly hers to do with as she pleased...I don't think that is in question. I guess that some people, like me, are just more sentimental than others. Dollar value and sentimental value are two very different things.

Basically, is there a difference between selling something like this, or selling memories and private and/or intimate moments by recanting them in a book or movie? Let's face it...the majority of people who were close to him have done it! Hmmm , makes me wonder though, how many women have had a relationship with Elvis, be it physical or emotional, and have chosen to keep it to themselves...???

Daddy, I miss you more every day. You will always be my hero..
