This is a fantastic suit!!!I like it very much![]()
dear all, especially to 'jumpsuit junkie' as the godfather of this thread :-) ,
first thanks for posting all those great pics, i love them! the herringbones are some of my fav jumpsuits (i am more a fan of the early solidcoloured ones than the colorful later ones, to be honest).
first question:how many versions of the black herringbone do exist?
on some pics, one can clearly see a kind of colored insertion in the bell-bottoms' pleats (red, sometimes with a golden hue due to the spotlights), and sometimes the pants seem to be competely black. either no insertion / pleat at all, or a black one? are these 2 different suits?
second question: i DO have problems (and that's not just poor eyesight-related :-) ) to differentiate between the black and the darkblue herringbone. again, the spotlights seem to alter / affect colours. can you name some features on how to clearly distinguish between them?
wonder if you can help me!
look forward and wish you a nice weekend,
E.D.

One of the best of the best. Not flashy, nothing to distract anyone from his talent as a performer and artist. Showcased his gaunt look and chiseled features.
So elegant... I love it! Elvis was amazing. Every thing was looking great on him.![]()
Let the stars fade and fall, and I won't care at all, as long as I have you.

The black one was used the most with different kind of pants. Some had black lined kick pleats and there was also a version with red lined kick pleats and some without.
It's very hard to determine which stage picture shows the blue one. Most of the times it's the black one which turned blue in the spotlights (just as Elvis' hair)
Yes, thank you Leroy for all your information and dedicated work for Elvis fans all over the world.![]()

I dream a world where man no other man
will scorn. Where LOVE will bless the earth
and peace its paths adorn...
No frills, 100% RAW POWER!!!!!......Elvis should have stayed with this style. These pictures capture the Raw Rock we hear on the Elvis In Person Album. I've seen some alternate covers use some of these pictures.
Can any of the Alternate Covers Artists design a new cover for the In Person CD with some of thes pix?
Anyone have more pictures from this era......????

one of the very very best.. actually the best. he looks amazing, so so handsome and it is very appropriate for him as a performer, as aforesaid, nothing detracts from his talent and beauty. he is beautiful and amazing in this jumpsuit...
Is it just that Elvis looked so incredibly sexy in that period, or does that suit make him look so??![]()

I swear, he was and still is the sexiest man on the planet
