Elvis is singing well and with "Fairytale" and "Funny How Time Slips Away" there are even two songs in the programme that Elvis didn't do that often, but the king had done better. After nearly fifteen minutes of band intros Elvis did just two songs before he rushed off. C'mon, that's no highlight. Of cause the king needed to escape (I have read that he collapsed after he left the building), but after having listened to such a long introduction of the band the audience deserved better than two songs.

That certainly is worth noting. It was surprising to me, considering that he did sound like he was in top form, that he put the audience through two songs from Sherrill Nielsen (Sh'rill, I call him) and did not perform Hurt.

So I don't disagree with those comments. I felt a little slighted myself when I heard that honestly, but focusing on the performances themselves I do think they were top-notch. I have always focused on that killer ending though. It immediately forgives anything less than stellar that preceded it. I think it's incredible.

I agree it was abit of a let down that Elvis only performed 2 songs after the band intro's. But when listening to every song from this concert, and that killer ending to Can't Help Falling In Love..It's top notch imo.

    Anyway,

I got my copy today and I listened it immediately and i think this one of his greatest concerts in those last 2-3 years of his life.
What a voice till the end of his life.
And indeed the closing song is GREAT!!!!!!
