I agree, it's been re-hashed so many times.

Again and again...I've seen this stuff
at least 5 times before packed in
sensation-seeking productions.
But why does Joe Esposito participate every time
and dig out all the old and sad facts?
He's a nice guy but what the heck?!
I agree, it's been re-hashed so many times.

I've got the DVD of the same name....that's the one with the interview including Sheila Ryan his ex girlfriend....Joe E. is certainly making the money off of Elvis.
I guess I'll just go with, If you can't say anything nice, don't say nothin at all. (my feelings are far to personal)
Thanks kay for sharing this clip, yep its all about the money with joe.
its interesting to watch, but seems to bring up alot of the sad and mostly negative facts about elvis.
Our man will never rest in peace. People will never stop coming up with anything for money.Although, this bitter reality is what makes the ELVIS legend survives the test of time. If people stop putting up things about him, then this could mean the end for our man but as long as there are people like those supposed to be friends and even relatives that enjoys the fruit of capitalizing on Elvis name for personal gain, the Elvis legend will lives on indeed a sad compromise for a talent like Elvis. Therefore, we are in for more of this kind of stuffs in the future. This is the price Elvis had to pay for being Elvis
Some of these things will always be around.
Because there's always new fans that have never seen it or heard about it.
There's a very old TV program I've tried to find for a few years; because I'd never seen it. A few months ago someone sent it to me .
Made my day.
I just try and skip over it, unless a specific question is asked that I can answer. Lisa had a few choice words she's said about some of these
"documentaries."![]()
Maybe the whole thing started with "Elvis: What Happened?" by Red and Sonny and I think Dave?
The book was labeled as evil but it really wasn't. They wanted to help/shake up Elvis and definitely didn't do it for money. I believe that those guys sincerely loved Elvis and cared for him.
I thought about it again and to me Joe Esposito seems kind of arrogant and stuck on himself and yeah Joe likes money...Elvis and Joe were "friends" for almost 20 years and now this?!
I just disagree with all that, Kay.
But, all have a right to their opinion.
Why do you disagree with all that, Cameron?
Could you please clarify.
Don't you think that Red and Sonny really loved Elvis and
still love him today? My dad knows somebody who talked to those
guys when she was in Memphis for Elvis week years ago and
she stated the same. Joe Esposito appeared arrogant but maybe
he just had a bad day?!
Well, I don't think their book was "evil"; just mean.
They didn't write that book to help Elvis .
Read what they said from the beginning. They did it because they were mad . They held a "hurried " press conferene because EP died so soon after it was made public & tried to make themselves look good.
Don't see how they "loved" Elvis to hurt him so badly.
I believe what they said at the beginning: "the book was written out of anger and bitternes. "
None of the MM were any friends I'd want.
They all do what they do because of the money...all of them.![]()
I agree with you Cameron and nothing they say today change change what and why they did it $$$$$ (The same reason they do it today) Dovey

The only correction I have to make is that some of them have made so little money by speaking. Given that, what would their motives be.
I dont think it is about money with Joe. Remember he was there when red west wrote that book so he knew the damage it had done. so for him to do the same thing i dont think so. Remember too it was joe that got to elvis first, as a bodyguard, when Elvis collapsed. It was Joe Esposito that tried to resussitate Elvis. Elvis trusted Joe the most and im am not qustioning Elvis' judgement.
Yes maybe there are too mant tell all books. Maybe if Elvis had spoke for himself we wouldt need em.
I love you Elvis.
Red, Sonny and dave wrote that book when they were angry with elvis so i believe some of the details were a little exagerated through that anger. If they let themselves cool down they wouldnt have been so bitter and a lot of the deatails wouldnt have been so revealing. Elvis was no saint but for those three to betray elvis out of spite is wrong. Yes they loved elvis but they stabbed him in the back. They had no right to tell us all what happened. its none of our buisness. Elvis was Elvis. Dont condemn him for the bad stuff he did. remeber the good stuff we all have two sides to us. Elvis did things his way. Love him as he is or not at all. I love him through and through. Elvis was not a dollor sign he was a human being
I'm sure they'd feel exactly the same way about you.
So, it's all about the money is it? Hmmm. Interesting that Red, Sonny and Dave knocked back a lucrative offer not to publish What Happened, isn't it? More money than they would ever have made from the sale of the book.
But facts like these tend to get hidden, don't they?
