    If Elvis didn't die....

If Elvis didn't die in 77 and was alive today.... What do you think he would be doing with his life? Both personally and with a career?

According to Larry Geller, Elvis' so called spiritual mentor, Elvis realized that he had a problem with substance abuse. After he finished the tour he was on (at the time of his death), he was going to take a year off and live in Hawaii. He had already found a house there. He was going to get off the drugs and get in shape. He wanted more than anything to be a serious actor. Also, he was going to get rid of more of the Memphis Mafia and Tom Parker. So, if things had gone according to Elvis' plans, he would be an actor. I would like to think that he would still be singing, but not in the movies. He loved gospel music, so something in that direction could have happened.

Personally, he might have grown up enough to get married. Who knows, he might have had other children. Now wouldn't that be grand.

We already know that he would be a grandfather. I would like to think that he was enjoying his life and his grandchildren.

I would love to see him get out of that Vegas contract it bored him!! Tour less because it took away all his time and worn him out... got off the drugs... spent more time with his family... opened his world a little making him more available.. make proper films... sit on the front porch of Graceland in rocking chair hehe be graceful and as always help the needy

    re

I really hoped he could have went to Hawaii.
Get rid of the pills and get himself in shape, and then maybe continues touring or just making studio albums, and making a world tour...I think that's what he really wanted.
I'd like to go to Graceland

I agree with Marija except for being with Priscilla. I would want him to have found someone who could stick by him through thick and thin. No more drugs, the Colonel or the MM, just occasional concerts and family.

    Somebody please translate.

I think, hope, wish he would have stopped touring for awhile, got his feet back under him and if so I really think he had a terrific career waiting for him in the field of couuntry music. Especially with the explosion of popularity in Country music that was to come in the '80's.

Personally, I think Elvis would have gone into a career in Gospel music...but if not, I think he would have become someone like Frank Sinatra and prolly would have done one big tour every year.

    If Elvis didn't die...

I would hope that he would be enjoying his life, maybe travel to the places he loved and spend time with family and just be happy!

Knowing how much he loved performing, maybe perform a few times a year!

I know he was always on a constant search for answers and i wish he couldve finally found them and found a way to be truly happy in whatever he did decide to do.

I didn't know he had such nice plans after his 77 tour...It seems too perfect, you're sure this is real and not something made up after his death? I dunno, it sounds well...like some kind of fairy tale.
If Elvis was still alive he would be 72, maybe he would still be performing (Chuck Berry is 80 and he still does that crazy thing with his leg you know...why not Elvis?). Anyway I believe he would still be a legend.

This would be really beautiful....I wish he could have made these dreams come true

I think if he could have changed his life and get off the pills and the concert marathons, he would have changed his career into becoming a gospel singer, because I think he this was really the kind of music he liked best. I read somewhere that before he became famous in the early 50s and also earlier, he dreamed of becoming a member of a gospel quartet and just thought he didn't have the fitting voice for that... And I think he really would have loved to do a few concerts in other countries, for example in Europe.
Of course I wish he found his true love, and I think it even could have been possible with Priscilla, I mean, they had a daughter and she was his true love once, maybe if he had changed they could have lived together happily again ,
He surely would have been happy about becoming a gradfather and watching his grandchildren grow up
So sad he couldn't do all this...I wish he would have got what he deserved for giving US, his fans sooo much
But somehow I like to think that he smiled down at us from heaven and enjoys still being so famous and loved and it also helps me not to be sad
