Interview with Ronnie Tutt about Elvis

This is an interview with Ronnie Tutt that I got the link from my tcb fan club. The reason I'm posting it here is because he talks so much about Elvis and his career with Elvis. He focuses on the good - not the bad and all the threads we've had lately where we were discussing the bad - well thought it would be nice to post this:

Thanks Marija, I like the way Ronnie said, he doesnt want to think about how Elvis was in the 76/77 era - he wanted to remember him as the great entertainer he was......that is what struck me. Like Diane and Cameron and others have posted......let's talk about his good side for a change.....we've discussed the bad on several threads and talked it out.....time to move on......cause it depresses me......

Thanks for posting this interview with Ronnie Tutt Kelly. I've only read part of it before. I love the respect he has for Elvis and from all he says, the respect was given back by Elvis and appreciated on both sides.

It is hard Kelly to see Elvis there at the end on stage, very depressing and hurtful.

One thing in the article that surprised me and I hadn't read of before was that we all knew the Colonel was difficult at times but I never knew that he screwed things up with some of the musicians too. Sure wish Elvis had gotten the courage to get rid of that man back in '68. I bet things would have been much better for Elvis, no doubt career wise, but a good chance health wise too.

Diane, you are so right......maybe had he kicked the Colonel to the curb...he could have been more challenged in his career and not been so depressed.....I wish he would have had the nerve to just stand up for himself instead of trusting the Colonel and his father too.

I don't think what you have posted causes grief. It leads to spirited, varied points of view and hopefully new thoughts and ideas which each of us may not have considered.

I agree with KPM, no grief Kelly. I'll be very happy to read any article you find to post....just be prepared if it's not done in good taste....sorry, I don't mean to hurt anyone by protesting against it, it just goes against my basic nature and I have to be true to myself and speak out. When I speak out it's against the person who wrote the article not the one who posted it unless the poster agrees with what I'm speaking out against....then we might be in for a debate lol.

We are all here to defend what we feel about things and that's what I do just as everyone else does.
