I found this on a site and thought it was interesting
Graceland twin in Mississippi
It is a well kept secret that there is an exact copy in Mississippi of Graceland, only 2,5h from the original one in Memphis. It is not a replica, build by an Elvis fan, because this house was already build in 1953. The story goes that a doctor from Mississippi visited his colleague in Memphis: the owner of Graceland. The visitor was so charmed by the house, that he received the blueprints to build his own Graceland. The structure and rooms are all the same, but a big difference is that the walls from the original Graceland are build from rocks and the second one was build with bricks.

Thank you for the pictures Gerianne, that is interesting. I like the looks of Graceland better with the rock.
Diane
I like Graceland with the rock as well Diane, but I do wonder would we have a different opinion if Elvis had lived in the other house and this is all we seen.
I think I probably would have liked the brick one better because I would have been used to it - if things had been different that is lol![]()

Not for me Gerianne, I'm going from the perspective of which one would I like if I had to choose between the two. The rock looks warmer to me. I would pick rock over brick anytime for any house...just my personal taste.
Diane
I do love the rock as well Diane. I think Graceland is just perfect with it. I wasn't sure what my opinion would have been if Graceland had been built with the brick instead of the rock.
ELVIS THE KING - TODAY TOMORROW & FOREVER
I would have loved Graceland (because it was his) too Gerianne had Elvis had the one in brick, but then after you would have shown me the two pictures, I would have said "why didn't he pick the one with the rock?"
Diane
I probably would have said the same too Diane![]()

Oh yes.. I have seen several pics about this in the Finnish Elvis forum. Maybe I could put some pics here. It is very close to be twin inside too.

Yadee, that would be great. Post those pictures please.
Diane
Diane I was planning to put the pics from inside the house. I just didn't have time until now. So here they are.

Thank you Gerianne, I didn't know you had these inside photos. They are just great and the owner of the brick certainly did have his house designed almost identically to that of Graceland.
Graceland is sunnier and more cheery though....must be that rock.
Diane
Yes Diane, the layout is the same but Graceland is much nicer. I love the very first two rooms you see when you step into the house. They are lovely and bright.

Yadee, your pictures are wonderful too. I do like the outdoor stairs and wall to the brick house, quite impressive, but still not as warm and welcoming as Graceland.
Diane
Thanks, for posting the pics Gerianne!
Just last week, I was was watching lottery winners' on tv and one couple bought a house and made the front of it exactly like Graceland!![]()
btw this was in Chicago! I couldn't believe it, right down to the lions and the green shutters! It was something!

Isn't this the home they used in the film Elvis & Me? The exterior looks like the one used in the scene when Priscilla comes back for EP's funeral.
