found in the internet - elvis visits the 'tennessee general assembly'

a dear friend and lovely lady, phyllis d. from a yahoogroup i am a member of, posted some pictures of elvis visiting and speaking at the 'tennessee general assembly' in march 1961 following his charity concerts on feb. 25th, 1961. tennessee governor buford ellington declared 25th of feb. as 'elvis presley day'.

i did some research for more pictures of this event, but unfortunately could not really find plenty of info. as date of the visit there are named 7th or 8th of march. who knows more? look forward to to many interesting replies.

the pics are not available in bigger sizes that what i posted below - unfortunately, at least not so far or i haven't managed to find them.

ah, and BTW, here is a pic from www.elvis.com that's supposedly been shot at the feb. 25th concert. interestingly enough EPE does not mention his visit to the assembly (maaaaaaaaaan, maybe some of us should do their homework! if my staff was that sloppy, i'd fire them all ).
